Hillhead Crafts deliver bespoke craft classes and workshops such as scrapbooking, card making, candlemaking and creative embroidery.

Hillhead Crafts has been in operation since 2011 and is run by Lorna and Michael Watson, who live in the rural area of Ballystockart, near Dundonald, Belfast. The company sell craft making kits and supplies, and deliver a number of bespoke craft classes and workshops, which aim to help build confidence and the skills of the participants. They cover a range of craft topics including:

Currently the workshops take place in either their bespoke home studio on the outskirts of Belfast, or in venues across Northern Ireland to suit different groups. Hillhead Crafts caters for various church and community groups, day care centres, groups of friends, hen parties and children's parties. The notebook workshop this week inspired me to get out the notebooks that I had previously received with promotional branding and give them an upcycle. we are always trying to make sustainable crafts which are good for the environment and prevent things going into landfill. These are how they turned out with limited time spent on them and they would make nice little stocking fillers.

Relaxing workshop at the studio last night where after choosing their notebook, participants set about stamping the internal pages with motifs and sayings. It was then on to decorating the cover with a collage of patterned papers and adding a top layer of mod podge to ensure the artwork was sealed. The result was a bespoke notebook suitable for gifting or keeping for yoourself.

Sparking joy, one handmade thank you card at a time! 🌼 My studio is buzzing with creativity as I bring the hydrangea theme to life, inspired by the weekend's 90th party table centres. Now, I'm hoping for a disturbance-free drying time for the pearl drops before tonight's workshop ✨.

Celebrating life's precious moments! 🎉 Sharing a few unforgettable pics of the 90th birthday party we held yesterday . I had the opportunity to create a table plan and placecards, a heartfelt guest book, delicate paper baubles, floral table centres and a special box to treasure greeting cards, all leading up to an unforgettable evening of connection and laughter. May this milestone birthday inspire us all to cherish every moment! ❤️

Lovely evening spent last night in the company of sisters Julie and Nicola as they embarked on their silk painting journey. They completed two pieces each, one of which had to stay in the studio overnight to dry completely. A brilliant therapeutic craft which allows you to switch off from daily pressures. Batch card making complete on a sports (mainly golf, football and cricket) theme for upcoming birthdays. Simple cards using background papers, toppers, diecuts and embellishments. It was great to get back to this craft and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I also unearthed a mountain of supplies - and so I am offering kits to make 10 greeting cards for £12 and if you can add in 10 gift tags for an extra £3. There will be various themes available - ladies floral, sympathy, baby, anniversary, mens, kids etc. Let me do the preparation work so as you can enjoy putting the pieces together. Great for community groups who are wanting to stretch their budget that little bit further.
