These two little nisse are off to their new home today. One with a heart and the other a porridge bowl, not a candle holder as some people assume. Danish nisse are mythical creatures from Nordic folklore. They’re associated with the winter solstice and Christmas season. They’ve appeared in Scandinavian literature and folklore. They must be treated well otherwise they may cause mischief. Give them a bowl of porridge and they will be pleased. They live in the attic so place your bowl of porridge nearby. Nordicana Homewares

It’s good to enjoy the current season. An afternoon spent making apple, cinnamon and honey roses brought the smells of autumn into the kitchen.

When was the last time you actually sat down and wrote something just for you? 🤎

Sometimes, a new notebook is all the excuse you need to start something new. Whether it’s journalling, making plans, writing your to-do list, jotting down your thoughts or finally starting that idea you’ve been thinking about, there’s something lovely about putting pen to paper.

We’ve got some lovely new stationery and notebooks in store, perfect for a little creative time, getting organised or simply treating yourself to something pretty.

Plus let's be honest… you can never have too many notebooks, can you? 😂

I took delivery of this beautifully hand painted chest today. Painted by the talented Ruth of
It’s a pine chest I’d had for a long time and the brief was to decorate it with a Scandi theme and favourite animals. What a stunning piece of furniture.
