This succulent evergreen perennial grows to 10cm tall and forms a mat. Its fleshy cylindrical leaves turn a red flush in autumn. In summer clusters of starry white flowers appear on branched stems above the foliage.

This Chinese Silver Grass is a fantastic ornamental clump-forming deciduous Miscanthus. Its attractive narrow dark green strap-like foliage features a creamy white stripe down the centre of each leaf blade. Stunning tassel-like reddish-brown plumes then appear in masses from September to December. These gradually become fluffy and fade to a silvery colour as the plant matures.

Perfect for a roomy container, it adds height and foliage interest in summer. It also works well with broad-leaved plants and burying shrubs to create effective autumn and early winter interest. A real star of any garden.
