Has anyone seen October? It seems to have gone….disappeared…..boom! All I remember seeing this month is countless posts of many random people dancing to this audio! Have I tried it? Maybe… but I’m not going to show you - I’ll stick to photos of beautiful bridal bouquets!

Currently it’s the furthest you can get from dry out there! Storm Austen is doing his thing….but it won’t last long. Whilst these flowers will be everlasting! Made with dried flowers - including wheat from the family farm - and pepped up with some fresh Miss Piggy roses. Dried does have to be dull!

Our Christmas wreath workshops are back! 🌿

We've been running these for nearly ten years, and as the first in the area to offer them, we've had plenty of practice at making festive evenings to remember.

This year you can choose from three venues and seven dates, so there's bound to be one that suits you. Grab a friend, a glass of something festive, and get creative. You'll leave with a gorgeous handmade wreath and a smile on your face. ✨

📅 Seven dates to choose from
📍 Three venues
🎁 A great night out (or a perfect gift for a wreath-loving friend!)

Dates are going fast, so book early to avoid missing out! 🏃‍♀️

A first for me. A wedding on a boat! ⛴️ An icon of North Devon - the MS Oldenburg was a truly unique venue for family and friends to enjoy this perfect wedding! Ahoy!

This week on my stories I have been reminiscing over Octobers past. At first one never thinks it’s a particularly busy month and then when you look back at photos you see it’s the month of: getting keys to the new shop, trip to Holland, buying trips to Birmingham, Christmas planning. And weddings. Lots of them. It’s a popular month for weddings as who doesn’t like the autumnal palette of creams, peach, reds, russets, orange and everything in between. Last week there were six weddings (!!) but everyone different and different takes on what autumn means to them.

This really was a wedding and a half. Literally. There will be a lot of posts in this one - as there was a lot going on. Starting up a tree (Tree Top Escape - Intimate Weddings in Devon) and will end out at sea!

Whilst I wouldn’t recommend swinging from it, this fresh foliage chandelier halo definitely elevates this high ceiling venue. It looks great in the reception space at Tawstock Court. Simple but effective. (Bit like me!)

I first met Abby and her family when they came to a workshop a couple of years ago so it was so special to be asked to her wedding flowers. It was also my first time at Wooladon Estate - and let’s hope it’s not my last as it was such a fabulous venue. A super large barn with space to do whatever you like. So we did! The colours Abby and George chose were perfect and as these amazing pictures by Joanna | Devon Wedding Photographer show, it really was a show stopping day! Thank you Abby for choosing me!

As a florist I do love to work with the big and small. And this gorgeous colourful wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel gave that opportunity! Firstly the gazebo with that fabulous view - with a bit of enhancement in the statement corner. Then aside from the bridal bouquets we then go small with a matching hairpiece. Perfectly showcased by the brilliant Hannah at Brighteye Beauty - Hannah. See her posts for more detail on the stunning bride’s wedding look.
