As summer comes to an end and the seasonal trade begins to quieten down, it feels like the right time to share a little update from us.
It’s been a quieter summer for many independent businesses, with people understandably being more careful about how and where they spend. We’re so grateful to everyone who made the trip to Bideford recently, as well as our local regulars who continue to pop in and see us!
It has also been a difficult year personally. As many of you know, Colin was diagnosed with cancer in January. Running the business as a two-person team while juggling hospital visits and doctor appointments hasn’t always been easy, so we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has borne with the occasional changes over the past nine months. Your kindness and understanding have meant more than you know.
As we head into the new season, we’ll continue to open from 10.30am-4pm, closing on Fridays & Sundays, while providing the friendly, personal service that everyone who knows the shop has come to love.
