From Royal Doulton an eye catching ovoid stoneware vase decorated by Doulton artist Ellen Palmer (we think!) - it's sometimes not easy to decipher the artist initials or monogram but that's what makes any research interesting. **Sold**

It is almost Halloween when things go bump in the night and creepy crawlies roam! The spiders are out and are decorating these pieces from Royal Worcester and Carlton Ware.

It could be acknowledged that sometimes the decoration on Locke & Co pieces is a bit bland and may be described as 'child like'. Not so these pieces! Both are superbly decorated with named view vignettes - Rydal Water and Loch Lomond.
One definitely is signed Walter Stinton and I think we can confidently attribute the other to Walter as well.

Lovely things come in small packages - as the saying goes! This is particularly true for these beautiful small vases from Royal Worcester. They may be small but the wonderfully depicted hand painted fruit on the rich mottled blue background certainly makes them stand out.

It's day one of The 1st Stamford Antiques, Decorative and Fine Art Fair. The weather is still dry in spite of the forecast, (and we're inside), so come along and browse and buy your favourite antique porcelain.

We are delighted to be supporting our friends at the 1st Stamford Antiques, Decorative & Fine Art Fair held at Stamford School, St Pauls St, Stamford. PE9 2BQ. The fair is on this Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October and you will find us with a fabulous array of fine porcelain, such as Royal Worcester and decorative stoneware such as Doulton, and many more wonderful antique ceramics to tempt you.
