Going back to where it started.. the first antiques I bought were a pair of Peter Scott prints, not dappled in prints for a few years now. But I couldn’t resist this one!

Not quite an antique, but very cool non the less.. 1980’s Browning leather hard case… it’s the baize and wool lining that gets me.

The base of the case is made from hard wood covered in a very heavy brown leather, the internals are covered in lovely red baize. This is showing signs of its age and has bobbled in areas. This would make lovely addition to any man cave or gun room, or you could put it back to its proper use and car...

Well after a bit of work, it’s finished. I think it polished up very well. And the baize looks very crisp.

Something new to keep
Me occupied this weekend. The case externals are lovely with some beautiful detailing on the lid. The intervals do need a little work. But I think with a bit of work she’ll be back to her prime.

It’s been a quite couple of weeks, but new items are on there way. These two lovely items turned up last week, the case is double J Purdey, and the boots are by Regent. The boots are ready to go, the case on the other hand is going to take a while to prepare. Keep an eye out for more pics as I work through the faults on the case.

These boots are in very goo condition for their age with only a small amount of fraying to the stitching on the rear of the calf. These boots are hand made and hand stitched, they would make a wonderful addition to any hunting collection or even to be worn again.

Here we have a beautiful pair of Manfield & Sons field boots, The boots are presented in a light brown leather. As these are the Greenlee style the calf area is adjustable. These boots would make a lovely addition to any military or field sport collection, or even to wear out for this coming season.
