Left one fully open, loads of light, feels bright and airy. Right one half open, still letting light in but a bit more chilled, a bit more private.

And if you want it fully shut? Easy. That’s always an option too.

Most people don’t know shutters can do this. 😄

Sliding doors at the back of the house, and the shutters slide and stack neatly to one side when you want them out of the way. Full access to the garden, no awkward blind hanging in the way, nothing to fold or fumble with.

Pull them across when you want privacy or to soften the light coming in. Stack them back when you want the doors fully open. That’s it.

Shutters working around how you actually live in your home. Not the other way around.

When the shutters just fit the room perfectly.

Those warm terracotta chairs, the round dining table, autumn colours coming through the garden outside. And then the shutters sitting clean and white in the middle of it all, tying everything together without trying too hard.

This is a living dining room in Thanet and it's one of those installs where everything just clicks. Three panels, measured and fitted by hand, letting in just the right amount of light without giving up any privacy.
