This is what summer looks like on a cake. 🌵🦙

This dreamy pastel alpaca cake was made using two of our latest releases — our Alpaca Mould and our Cactus Garden Mould — and honestly the two of them together were just meant to be.

The cacti dotted around the sides, the pompom garland, the little alpacas nose to nose on top — every detail pressed out in sugarpaste and brought to life with a little colour. We are completely in love with this one. 🤍

And the best part? You can replicate designs like this with ease!

Both moulds are available now in the shop — www.karendaviessugarcraft.co.uk 🌵

We get asked about these little guys ALL the time. 🧸

How do we make them? What moulds do we use? How are they so neat? So we’re finally showing you.

Part one of knitting your own sugarpaste teddy bear using our Knitted Piece Mould — and honestly once you see how it’s done you’ll realise it’s far more achievable than you think.

It’s all simple shapes. Cylinders, balls, basic pieces — and as you build and join them together something magical starts to happen and a little character emerges right in front of you. 🤍

The same method applies to any figure you want to make too, so once you’ve got this, you’ve genuinely got so much more.

Follow us so you don’t miss Part 2 dropping tomorrow — it’s where it all really comes together. 👇🧶

If you’ve ever spent hours cutting out individual flowers for a cake border and thought — there has to be a better way — there is. 🌸 Our Sugar Flower Border Mould gives you a full, stunning floral bas relief border in a fraction of the time. No cutting. No fiddling. No dozens of individual flowers. Just press, release and there it is. Beautiful, delicate, detailed — and completely edible. 🤍

It’s perfect for wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, celebration cakes, cupcakes and cookies, and it works with sugarpaste, flower paste, chocolate, modelling paste and more. We’ve even included four individual flowers on the mould so you can disguise any joins seamlessly or add extra depth wherever you need it.

Leave them plain or dust with lustre or edible paint to bring out every last petal. Either way the result is genuinely gorgeous. 🌿

✨ Every successful cake business starts with an idea… but not every idea changes an entire industry.

Before Karen Davies Sugarcraft existed, Karen spent years making cakes from her family home while raising her two daughters. 🎂

Like so many cake decorators today, she poured countless hours into creating beautiful work, teaching others through books and detailed tutorials, and trying to make every hour count financially.

Then came a question she was asked again and again:

“How do you make your figures?”

That’s when Karen realised there had to be a better way.

What if decorators could create professional-looking figures faster?
What if beginners could achieve results they never thought possible?
What if talented cake artists could spend less time sculpting and more time growing their businesses?

That simple idea became Karen Davies Sugarcraft.

Today, our moulds help cake decorators around the world save time, build confidence, and create cakes they’re proud to sell. 💕

Episode 3 of The Reject Box and we’re starting with a blooper because honestly why would we not. 😂 Mum (Karen) couldn’t even remember the name of the series. We’re professionals. Truly. 🎬

This week Karen pulled out one that had us feeling all nostalgic — our rubber duck mould. 🐥 And what a little cutie he was.

Forward facing OR side facing, and here’s the detail that made this one really special — a quick snip with tweezers and he became fluffy. A FLUFFY DUCK. In sugarpaste. Come on.

So who remembers these little guys? And more importantly — were we right to retire him or is this one of our biggest reject pile mistakes yet?

Right to reject OR wrongly buried? Drop your verdict below 👇🐥

One of our most loved moulds and honestly it’s not hard to see why.

🤍 Our Brush Embroidery Mould gives you 12 beautifully detailed designs — flowers, leaves, delicate petals — all the look of traditional hand-painted brush embroidery without spending hours with a brush.

Press, release, and the detail is already there.

Leave them plain, dust with lustre or brush with edible paint to bring out every last detail.

Stunning on wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, cupcakes and cookies and it works with sugarpaste, flower paste, chocolate, modelling paste and more.

This one never goes out of style and we never get tired of seeing what you create with it.

🌸 If you’ve used this mould we’d love to see your cakes — tag us or drop a photo in the comments.

Reject Pile Episode 2 and this week we’re going full glam. 💅✨

Meet our sequin cupcake mould — born in 2014 when Karen noticed people were putting actual sequins on their cakes and thought… but why aren’t they edible? So she made them.

This little beauty launched alongside our small and large sequin border moulds and together they were an absolute trio of glamour.

Sadly by 2018 sales had dried up and all three were discontinued. Into the box they went.

But we have to say — pulling this one out today we’re not even mad about it ending up in the reject pile because just LOOK at her. 😍✨

So here’s your verdict time.

Were we right to discontinue the sequin collection in 2018 — or did we make a terrible mistake and bury something brilliant?

Right to reject OR wrongly buried?

Drop it in the comments 👇 and if you’ve got one of these hiding in your stash we want to know! 📦🪄

Episode 2 of The Reject Box is coming and we cannot wait to hear what you have to say. 📦👀

Last week’s horse mould absolutely divided the room — some of you were screaming bring him back, some of you very firmly told us to put him out to pasture for good 😂 and honestly? We loved every second of it.

This is exactly what The Reject Box is for. Your verdict is everything.

So. This week’s reject is waiting in the box and we’re not giving anything away. All we’ll say is… it’s another good one.

Can you guess what’s coming?

Drop your predictions in the comments 👇 and tune in at 6pm to find out if you were right.
The box doesn’t lie. 📦🪄

The Reject Pile Episode 1 — and we’re starting with one that still breaks our hearts a little. 🐴

Meet our horse mould. He was released back in 2010, he’s an absolute cutey, and he was so loved that he graced the front cover of Karen’s own book ‘A Cake for a Celebration.’

A cover star. A legend. And then… we discontinued him.

Sales slowed down, the world moved on, and our beautiful boy got shelved.

That was 5 or 6 years ago and honestly? We still think he’s gorgeous. But the numbers didn’t lie — and into the reject pile he went.

Now it’s your turn. Were we right? Was his time up? Or have we made a terrible mistake and this little horse deserves to ride again? 🐴✨

If you’ve got one of these hiding in your cupboard we want to know. And if we brought him back — would you buy him?
