New into next week
Three beautiful botanicals landing in the shop — and what a trio they make. A gorgeous Victorian transferware plate with that signature polychrome floral print, orchids and irises tumbling across crackled cream earthenware.
A wonderfully graphic 1950s educational poster board, the kind that would have hung in a school classroom — lords-and-ladies, ferns, stitchwort and primrose rendered in that bold illustrative style of the era.
And the star of the show: a large old master-style oil on board, an absolute abundance of blooms — tulips, roses, peonies, daisies — painted against a dark ground in the Dutch tradition.
