✨️ THANK YOU! ✨️

I've just been able to make this incredible donation to SIFA Fireside thanks to the sales of Emiko's wonderful kimono book 🎉

Emiko very kindly let me choose where proceeds should go, once costs had been deducted.

Sifa Fireside is based just steps from the Japan Crafts studio in Digbeth, and they help people struggling with homelessness through tailored one-to-one support.

A very worthwhile charity to have a look at and support if you are able to 🌸

UPDATE: SOLD OUT!

These beautiful charm packs are critically endangered - the factory in Japan that makes them has now closed 😭

I bought up the remaining stock, and after Festival of Quilts there are now only 23 packs remaining.

Please be quick if you would like one (or more) of these gorgeous packs of sakizomemomen yarn-dyed fabrics, each if which includes 70 pieces (most are also double-sided, giving you even more options!).

Look in the New Arrivals section on the website 🌸

Well done to Man for managing to get a quick snap of me with our Visual Merchandising Queen AKA Elaine Ridler during The Festival of Quilts setup.

Elaine won't be here during the show, but you will see how she worked her magic to make the stand look inviting, tempting and spacious (even though we've got twice as much stuff this year!!!)🌸

I've been sent a new fabric catalogue from Japan, but some of the designs are a bit 'out there' 😅

What do you think? Would you buy these or are the sailing skeletons a step too far?!☠️🌸

LAMPORT!

After a very hot and sticky day we are all set up and ready for visitors! We hope to see some of you in our horse's stable over the next 3 days. We took a glance round the rest of the show and everybody's stalls look fantastic, temptation and inspiration at every turn!

If you missed our newsletter the other day, check out the new kimono book on the website...it sold out within 2 hours...but it's being reprinted and you can now pre-order a copy for yourself 🌸

Reworking a favourite sashiko sampler ready for the upcoming shows at Lamport and The Festival of Quilts

Sampler is the 'Nowaki' (wind-blown grass) hanafukin, and I'm using one of the new Olympus 20m variegated threads, number 55 Summer Yellows. These will be available in kit form at the shows, and you can buy the components separately online (or buy the kit and pop a note on your order for me to swap the thread!).

What do you think of the colour?🌸

I've made an early donation to MindOut as money is being DOUBLED this week. This money was kindly raised by everyone who purchased a Rainbow Waves sashiko kit - £5 from the sale of each kit sold in June goes to Mind Out, so there's still time to get yours and help this wonderful charity.

Of course, you can also make a donation directly to them, too!🌈🌸🌈
