Feeling a little sad that this lovely summer is officially over.

We had some amazing adventures and very special trips, but I’ve also really enjoyed the simple things this summer — spending lots of time with the kids, being in the garden, sorting out the house and just being at home.

I’m not sure what has changed, but I seem to appreciate these ordinary days much more than I used to.

Pocket doors aren’t just about saving space.

Most people see them as practical; I see them as spatial.

They remove the need to design around door swings, keeping the flow uninterrupted.
When open, they disappear.
When closed, they create privacy without breaking the architecture.

But they only work when they’re planned early; built into the structure, not added later.

Good design isn’t always visible… but you can feel when it’s right ✨
