You’ll make a pair of Thea Trousers while learning those really useful trouser making techniques along the way, including that all important fly front!

If you’ve got an overlocker, you NEED to try this hem! 👀✂️

This is such a lovely way to get a neat finish on your favourite T shirt patterns using a flatlock stitch, and it’s much easier than you might think.

The trick is to press your hem first, fold it back on itself and set your overlocker up for a flatlock so the needle just catches that folded edge. Then open it out, give it a good press and look at that finish! 🙌

Your overlocker settings may be different to mine, so make sure you check the flatlock section of your own manual before you get started.

Definitely one of those techniques worth having in your sewing toolkit. 💛

The Matchy Matchy All Around Crew has been around for a while now and has become a firm favourite amongst both myself and the team here at G&G.

It’s relaxed, comfy and has plenty of options to play around with, so it’s one of those patterns we find ourselves coming back to when sweatshirt season rolls around.

Now THIS is the sort of fabric that gets me excited for autumn sewing! 😍🍂

Our new British Wool Cashmere has arrived in three gorgeous colours:

💙 Airforce, a soft, muted blue
🤎 Bronzed Earth, a warm, earthy brown
💚 Pinegrove, a gorgeous deep green

It feels like a real treat of a fabric and one I’d save for a special jacket or coat that I know I’m going to wear for years.

I’ve already been pattern pairing too, and I think both the Birgitta Helmersson Zero Waste Bell Jacket and Merchant & Mills Sanda Jacket would work beautifully.
