Painted at the Kitchen Table hand painted glass Hello and welcome to "Painted at the Kitchen Table" craft page. Every piece is hand painted and so no two items are exactly the same.

I have always loved to create things and it is a standing joke that I was advised ,in secondary school , to give up art due to my inability to draw . When I found glassnpainting I fell in love with the colours, the light it creates,its' many uses.I love the way glass can be re-purposed-a brulee dish can become a trinket bowl ,a mini coffee jar can become a cottage, a lighthouse, or a beach hut in

which to keep sewing items. The designs on my glass are from my life.The cherry blossoms are from my home town,my dad's garden-used in my wedding bouquet, ,and from a trip to Japan when I retired from the day job. The corn poppies are from the fields surrounding my cousin's Croft and the smiddy where Dad was brought up, the pansies from Mum's borders ,and the puffins from my stays at Dunnet Head lighthouse. Saturday,May 16th , I will be at Bishopbriggs Community day in Cadder Church South Hall, as will Happy Hamster cards..Cadder Church Coffee Shop will be open for teas and coffees and home baking., and there will be family activities in the hall. With Hotdogs and snacks available in the car park.

Next Saturday, May 16th, I will be in Cadder Church South Hall for Bishopbriggs Community day.Happy Hamster cards will also be there with her lovely Iris folded cards. The coffee shop will be open for teas, coffees and home baking-there will be hotdogs and snacks available in the car park, and family activities in the hall. Its going to be a great day so please come along and enjoy.
