HELLO SEPTEMBER! 🍂✨

And just like that, September is here! 💛

The kids are heading back to school this week, routines are returning, and we're stepping into one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year! For the next few months 📚✏️🎒

So, what's coming up? 👀

🎃 Halloween is already on our minds! We're busy preparing our Halloween-themed branded supplies and can't wait to share what's coming!

🎄 And yes... we're already planning Christmas too! Because when it comes to creating something special, the preparation starts early! There is so much planning, designing and behind-the-scenes work involved to make sure everything is ready in time for the festive season. ✨🎅

And we have some exciting news... 👀

📢 We will be CLOSED from Monday 14th September for three days while we work on something brand new behind the scenes!

We can't say too much just yet, but exciting times are ahead! There is a LOT of work to be done, plenty of planning, and lots happening behind the scenes. 💻✨

We popped in for breakfast when they opened and it's one of those places where you can feel the amount of effort that has gone into getting it right. High quality food ... Cooked with the finest Local Produce and at Affordable prices ... What's not to love!

But not today .. they are taking a break for bank holiday Monday ... Back open from tomorrow, so get it down on your to-do list .... Because you don't know it yet ... But this place will absolutely become your go to spot 🤎

We’ve been a little absent from socials lately ❤️

This has been our first summer holiday working away from home since moving into our workshop at the beginning of the year, and then a couple of weeks ago, my husband had a bad accident.

I’ll be completely honest… it knocked me. Completely.

Work, social media, orders, plans… all of it suddenly felt very insignificant. My only focus was being there for him.

This man is my person. ❤️

He’s the reason I have the confidence I have today, the reason I can be 100% myself, and the reason this little business even exists in the first place.
He is my biggest supporter… and without a doubt, my biggest work fan! 😂❤️

When you have your person — the one you choose to do life with, build a family with, grow old with and experience everything life throws at you with — you realise just how precious that is.

And even though he wasn't well .... He still encouraged me to continue ....
So, I packed up what felt like 90% of my workshop and brought it home so I could be there for my husband, be there for my children, keeping everything running and working late into the evenings because, as much as I wish it could sometimes, work can’t just stop. Being self-employed and running a business is our livelihood and our clients depend on us.

It’s been tough.
But we’ve got through it. ❤️

And in the background, I’ve also been making some pretty big changes to The Crafty Little Cannon.

We’re shifting from custom party, event & business supplies to focusing solely on small business supplies.

Why?

Well… there’s a lot more to that story, and I’ll share more about it soon. 👀

I’ve also made some changes to how our website will work.

We’ve listened to so much feedback from our customers, and one thing that has come through time and time again is that you LOVE shopping with us face-to-face. You love the personal service, the conversations, the advice, the design service, speaking to someone who will create you exactly what you want and being able to actually see what we do.

And honestly… THAT is exactly why we set The Crafty Little Cannon up in the first place. ❤️

So yes, we will still be launching our website before Christmas 🎄 — but it will be focused on our GENERIC small business supplies and essentials, all made from scratch right here in our workshop.

Our website will still also be a place to showcase the amazing small businesses we work with, their services, our products and, most importantly, the personal small business supplies service we offer.

Because the personal side of what we do is something we never want to lose.

I’m finally heading back into the workshop from Thursday onwards, something I thought I may have to give up because I'll be honest .... The thought of being away from home just hasn't felt right since 🥹❤️ but again ... This man will not let me give up my dream of creating and has assured me all is okay.

And now ..... he's back on his feet, he's back at work and I'm so grateful for life itself .... I can't even put into words!

Thank you, as always, for being so incredibly supportive and patient with us.

And a HUGE thank you to everyone who has continued to order, support, message, check in and cheer us on while I’ve been working from home.

I’m so proud that, even through all of this, I’ve still managed to get your orders out. ❤️

Here’s to getting back into the workshop, getting back into our little creative space… and an exciting new chapter for our family in the coming months. ✨
