A personal message from me ❤️

I just want to be honest with everyone. I’m finding things really tough at the moment.

The recent disruption in the flooring industry has turned things upside down. With supplier changes, limited stock availability and still waiting for new supplier accounts to be opened, it’s been incredibly difficult trying to keep everything running as it should.

As a small, independent business, I take a lot of pride in my work and in keeping my customers happy. Having to put new orders on hold wasn’t an easy decision, but I feel it’s the right thing to do until I can get things back on track.

I’m doing my best to work through the situation, and I really appreciate everyone who’s been patient and supportive.

Sometimes it’s important to be honest and admit when things are difficult. Thank you to everyone who supports my business. It means more than you realise.

A quick update from SK Flooring & Blinds 👋

Apologies to everyone who has messaged or called this week. I’ve been working flat out for the past three years, so I needed to take a week away from carpet fitting and the blinds to switch off and recharge.

Although I haven’t been fitting carpets and blinds I haven’t really had much of a break! I’ve still been busy behind the scenes getting everything organised and keeping on top of things. 😂💪

I’ll be back to work next week and will get back to everyone as soon as possible.

So Ive decided to seperate the two on facebook. Still part of sk flooring and blinds but this way I can expand the blinds side a bit more. I want to keep the flooring side quite local so within say 20 miles of blaenau but with the blinds I believe theres a larger area I can cover. Please like and follow. Thanks

A quick update for all my customers

It’s been a particularly challenging time for my business recently. On top of my van being in the garage, yesterday brought the news that Headlam, one of the UK’s leading flooring distributors, has ceased trading.

As a small independent business, I rely heavily on my suppliers, so this has had a significant impact on day-to-day operations.

Thankfully, there is some positive news. Likewise, another one of my main suppliers, has acquired a substantial part of Headlam’s business, meaning many of the ranges I rely on should be moving across to them. This is great news for the future, but inevitably there will be some disruption while everything settles down.

I also attended the Flooring Show last month and secured three new suppliers to help strengthen the business going forward. However, getting everything set up is taking time, as many other businesses are in the same position, and my location presents its own challenges.

With everything happening at once, I’ve decided to take next week away from fitting jobs so I can concentrate fully on sorting out suppliers, deliveries and getting everything back on track. Honestly, I’ve never felt so stressed, but I’m working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get things sorted.

I want to reassure everyone that I’m still here, and I’m doing everything I can to keep things moving and minimise any disruption.

I’ll keep you all updated as soon as I have more information.

For now, all I ask is for a little patience and understanding. As a small independent business, your support means more than you know.

Just a quick one. On friday my van went into the garage to get fixed. Turns out the problem is a lot bigger than first thought so will be in for a few days but Im getting a hired van today. Obviously this has affected me with going out to quote on jobs as my samples are in the van and Ive fallen 2 days behind on jobs. I will get back to people asap. Love stress 😂 thanks to this weeks customers. Absolute stars for being so understanding 🫶
