Thin Tree Baubles.
These started as an experiment with the 2 small baubles, then they grew and the design developed adding more features each time.
Wood is Red Grandis (Redwood) from weather siding planks
Carved, Sanded, Sealed with Shellac and ready for paint.
Silver/White with Gold highlights as the wood has very few grain features.

It has been my Absolute Pleasure doing this carve for our local lady Jacky Vacher. Jacky works tirelessly organising and raising funds for several charitable groups around Blandford & Pimperne.

I donate carves to a Fibro/Pain group (Blandford Fibromyalgia, chronic pain and fatigue peer support group ) that I support and donated a Gift of Any Carving in my Album or a Custom Carve if preferred.

Jacky won this prize/gift in their Summer Fayre and recently claimed her prize. This will complement the other wildlife ornaments in her garden.

I can't say enough about how much time and effort she gives to ger charities and other local organisations. She Deserves Greater Recognition for Her Work. (Message to the Lord Chamberlain... maybe?)

Project BumbleBee Table

One of my Customers asked me to take a 3rd Commission.
The table was not overly expensive but had sentimental connections and asked if I could rescue it.

I pondered this and worked out a plan to make it in Aromatic Cedar. 1 failed attempt taught me lessons on how to better recreate this in 2 halves. The failed piece was later glued to the back in cross ply pattern to stiffen the final piece which was laminated from 2 packs of Aromatic Cedar Wardrobe Hangers.

Russ & Patricia appreciate the effort and dedication I put into their commissions, and I certainly enjoy meeting the challenge.
We even discussed the next commission and I look forward to proceeding.
