☝️JUNE IS THE MONTH...�I take a bit of a step back from working "in" the business to working "on" the business - 📋planning and preparing 👩‍💻for the next 6 months ahead....🥳��🥰🙏I also take time to 'practise what I preach' and try to fill up my own 💕creative cup - trying out other 👩‍🎨 crafts and experiences... So this Saturday we went to Linford Wood to Beccy Gillat School of Jewellery to make some stacking rings!! 💍 We all really enjoyed the 3hrs learning how to make silver rings from scratch! (there was alot of 🔨hammering! LOL) really pleased with the finished products.👌�😳Then Sunday... "posh" and I jumped on a train 🚉 and went to London... to Sadlers Wells 🎭 to experience "Dracula" - Ballet🩰🧛🏻 at its darkest. ☝️But not before dropping into several chairty shops🛍️ in Islington! (Upcycling ♻️and repurposing is 100% my thing at The Hidden Hive Workshops🐝 - and I may have found us a few fabulous items!)😉😆🤭��🥰I absolutely love living in 🙌 Milton Keynes! Seriously... 🤷‍♀️to be able to 'pop' into London for the afternoon (arriving at 10.40am and leaving at 3.40) grabbing food on foot with time to scope Islingtons shops, see the ballet and be home by 😲🤯4.30pm - thats just epic!��🙌🥰So there you have it - my fun packed weekend in one post.🤭🛍️♻️�☝️Now to prepare for a week with a work experience student, teaching crochet🧶, hosting our 'Crochet Colony' 🐝🧶🍰meet up and prepping The Hive for July, August, September and October's workshops... ✂️Kinusaiga, Yarn Art, 🏺Decoupage!! Its all happening 🙌 and they will all be listed and marketed soon ☝️(I promise) keep those eyes peeled and fingers poised for booking.💻📱�🤩Am really excited and looking forward to a Summer of creative, fun workshops with you all x�

🧶🌟MENTAL HEALTH MONDAYS🌟🧶

People often think crochet is 🫣 for grannies… but honestly, in todays world that moves so quickly and is lived mostly on screens 📱it is so much more than that!🥳

🐝At a Crochet Workshop here... at The Hidden Hive I see every single week how crochet helps people in ways they never expected!🤷‍♀️

CROCHET BENEFITS CAN INCLUDE:
💕Improving focus and concentration
💕Boosting confidence and self-esteem
💕Creating routine and purpose
💕Encouraging mindfulness without even realising it
💕Helping with dexterity and coordination
💕Giving your brain a break from daily stress
💕Bringing a huge sense of achievement
💕Helping calm anxiety and racing thoughts
💕Reducing loneliness and isolation
💕Giving people a safe space to laugh, chat and switch off

☝️But the BIGGEST thing I see!?! - Friendships!!!!🥳

People walk through the garden 🏡🪴 to the workshop doors nervous… and leave with new friends 🙌, support networks 🥰, confidence 😁 and a crochet family (Our Crochet Colony) they didn’t even know they needed!🤷‍♀️🥳

🧶There’s something so incredibly special about sitting around The Hidden Hives 🐝workshop table with yarn, hooks, laughter, tea/coffee (and homemade cake!!) 🍰 some wonky stitches and everyone cheering each other on! 🥳Celebrating each others wins, laughing 🤭about the week one struggles. 💕

🤷‍♀️ Theres just never any pressure to be perfect! (what is that all about?) and there is definitely no judgement!! Just a bucket load of support, encouragement and a good dose of therapy disguised as crochet.✨💫🧶

🤷‍♀️Whether you’re 16 or 96, a complete beginner, left-handed, a knitter crossing over to the “hooker side” 😆🤭 or someone simply needing a little calm in their life… crochet really can be magical! ✨💫🧶

And... 🙌 every finished row or round, every granny square, scarf, blanket, or wearable... ☝️That’s an achievement 🏆to be proud of !🙌🥰🧶🐝

🥵🔥OMG! I’M MELTING!?!🫠 😆
☝️How about you?

Am so grateful that we can now use the ‘South Terrace’ 🤭 (it’s a joke!) 😆 at The Hidden Hive 🐝 and take our workshops outside into the garden when it gets like this!!🙏

Water 💦 is chilling in the fridge 🙌👍 and yes there will still be cake (as always).

OMG!☝️About last night....
😳NOT ONE PHOTO OF THEM ALL!?!... seriously not one!🫣�It was such an amazing evening... 👍I cant believe I didnt even snap one photo!?!📸�
Last night The Hidden Hive Workshops🐝 hosted a concrete and soy wax candle making workshop...🤷‍♀️hidden out of sight.😉
OMG! We talked and laughed 🤣so much! Shared life stories, 🥰experiences... tips and recommendations.🙌�
🙏I want you to know "YOU ARE NOT ALONE" - In a world that moves so quickly and is lived mostly on screens📲👩‍💻, where some of us are becoming disconnected and isolated 🥲The Hidden Hive Workshop exists!! 🐝 Its a space for you to slow down from a busy day, reconnect with your creative side, 🙏 focus on your wellbeing, 🧘‍♀️sit side by side in a small group setting 💕to be able to learn a new craft, meet new people, even make new friends all whilst having belly laughing fun!🙌
