Laina decided she wanted to redo her walls black—and what else would she use but Frenchic Blackjack Wall Paint? 🖤

She thought it would need two coats, but it’s only needed one! The coverage is fantastic!!

I love how the black looks over the wallpaper, with the pattern still showing through. It gives the wall such a lovely textured finish.

I’ve asked her to send me a photo once the room is finished, so I’ll share the final result when she does 😊

P.S. I don’t carry the Frenchic Wall Paint or Trim Paint ranges in the shop—there are far too many beautiful colours and I simply don’t have the space for them all! I do have the colour cards, though, so you can see the shades properly before choosing.

I can then order your paint for you and, for £2.99, have it delivered either to the shop or straight to your home within 1–2 working days. It’s just as easy as ordering online, but you’ll be supporting local 😊

A little Frenchic before & after 💚

Lorraine popped into Fair Fantoosh for some paint to give these old chimney pots a new lease of life, and look at the difference!

She chose Apple of My Eye, and I love how fresh they look now. Such a simple way of turning something tired and weathered into a proper feature again.
Granted, the Scottish weather isn’t exactly shouting “get outside and start painting” at the moment 😂 but that doesn’t mean your painting projects need to stop for the year.
Lots of pieces can be prepped and painted indoors, then moved outside once the paint has had time to properly dry and cure. And, of course, furniture and home projects can carry on indoors all year round.
So if you’ve got something sitting there looking a bit sorry for itself, don’t write it off just because summer is disappearing. Sometimes all it needs is a clean, a little prep and a gorgeous new colour.

A wee re-introduction 👋

It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced Fair Fantoosh as your local Frenchic Paint stockist.
We’ve recently moved back to where it all started for us, at 43 North Street, Bo’ness, EH51 0AQ, and the Frenchic shelves are all set up again.

I aim to keep a good selection of the Al Fresco and Lazy Range, along with Frenchic finishes and accessories, in stock.

The Wall Paint and Trim Paint ranges are a little different, whilst i do have a few of the best sellers in stock, there are simply far too many colours for me to keep every tin on the shelf. I can order them in for you, and they can potentially be here (or your home address) within 1–2 days.

And this is where shopping locally really helps.

Paint colours can look completely different on a phone or computer screen, and I’ve had quite a few people come in after ordering online only to realise the colour wasn’t quite what they expected.

Here, you can come in first, look through the A5 Frenchic colour samples, compare the shades properly and pinpoint the exact colour you want. Then I can order it in for you.

So you get the right colour, you avoid an expensive paint mistake, and you’re supporting a local independent shop at the same time.

Win-win for you, and definitely a win-win for me too. ❤️

And while you’re here, Fair Fantoosh is also home to my bespoke lampshades and a beautiful range of Polly Sents wax melts.

We also share the space with the fantastic A Daily Dose of Dopamine , where I run all sorts of creative workshops, and Mary's Fairies, offering clothing alterations, repairs and dry cleaning.

So there’s quite a lot tucked into our wee North Street shop.

A wee delivery from Polly’s Scents has arrived to top up our wax melts—and Pumpkin Spice is back! 🍂 It’s that time of year again!

We’ve also got four new scents:

✨ Pyjama Day – soft, clean, powdery and cosy
✨ Dubai Black – warm, spicy, woody and rich
✨ Mademoiselle – fresh, fruity and floral
✨ Ancient Sakura – light cherry blossom florals with a soft, clean finish

They’ve barely made it out of the box and some have sold already 😂 I’ve only got one of each left, apart from Mademoiselle, which I have two of.

Just a wee reminder that we still have plenty of lovely wax melts and incense in the shop too!
