Just want to let you know what you get when you go to Warley at Statfold as it is more than just the model railway exhibition.
You do get a good quality model railway exhibition with 30 layouts, 30 trade exhibitors plus societies and demos which is what you would expect. You also get as many free rides on the Statfold narrow gauge railways (2ft and 121/4" gauges) as you like. You get free entrance to the renowned Statfold Roundhouse with a display of around 20 narrow gauge locos under cover and, if you are a child, free access to the soft play area which is close to the roundhouse. Having a go on the 7.5 metre wall climb, if you so desire, will cost an extra £5. There is a choice of food and drink facilities in both the arena and the roundhouse. There is a free bus to and from the station provided by Wythall transport museum; you can just go for the ride to the station and back if you like. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. I think that makes for a great day out for anyone who likes trains.
Statfold Country Park is dog friendly for well behaved dogs and it is fairly flat so it is wheelchair friendly. I'm told the trains can accommodate wheelchairs. As you would expect it has baby changing facilities and accessible toilets. If you want you can camp on site but you will have to book this in advance.
