Today we’re celebrating a very special member of the J&J family – Jamie, who turns 25 today! 🥳

❌ “We’ll just leave the kitchen for now…”

That’s what this customer said when we fitted the rest of their downstairs in a beautiful 12mm herringbone laminate.

The problem?

The kitchen floor was at a different level to the adjoining rooms, and they couldn’t see a simple solution.

Rather than risk a poor finish, they decided to put the project on hold.

Fast forward a little while and they asked us back to see if we could solve the problem once and for all.

After removing the existing ceramic tiles, preparing the subfloor, removing skirting boards, kickboards and kitchen end panels, we were able to create the perfect base for their new floor.

The real challenge was making the new herringbone pattern flow seamlessly through the doorway and tie in perfectly with the flooring we’d previously installed.

The result? 👇

A stunning continuous herringbone floor running throughout the downstairs, with no awkward transitions and no compromises.

Best of all, we handled everything from start to finish, including fitting brand new skirting boards, so the customer didn’t need to organise additional trades afterwards.

The customer’s reaction made all the hard work worthwhile. They’re absolutely delighted with the finished result and have already promised to recommend us to family and friends.

Another stunning transformation by our team 🏡✨

For this project we transformed a lounge dining room using the stunning Iconic Hardwick Plank creating a seamless flow throughout both rooms.

One of the biggest challenges on this job was the subfloor preparation. The dining room needed a substantial floor build-up to bring the levels perfectly in line with the lounge before installation could begin.

A lot of the most important work in flooring is what you don’t actually see once the job is finished — proper preparation is what ensures a floor not only looks great but performs properly for years to come.
