Not much to ramble about this week as it’s very quiet.. but a few gift boxes sent out, traditional lily spray and a table centre to celebrate 40 years married..

It’s lovely to still be in wedding season creating beautiful bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and this weeks included the divinely scented “ parfum Blanche” rose , with Vendela, white snowflake and sage green foliages .. some blue oxypetalum included in the bridesmaids as they were wearing navy blue so the addition of a paler blue kept it “ summery “… buttonholes and corsages to tone with the groom wearing the scented one to match the bridal bouquet … a perfect day at Brookfield Hall .. congratulations to Kerry and Ste.. Thankyou for letting me play a small part in your day .. congratulations to you both 🙏🏻x

Brook Hall hotel on the Wirral was this weeks venue for the wedding of Abby and Anthony… rich , deep burgundy’s and blush to tone with the four bridesmaids dress colour , with softer bridal tones for Abby , looking stunning in her gown of sparkles, carrying a traditional fully wired bouquet .. a true test of floristry skills and a dying art as more florists use the plastic holders for speed and ease … (I never take the easy route ) for me nothing compares to the movement of a wired bouquet and the hours wiring are worth the effort … congratulations to you both and Thankyou for choosing me to do your flowers ..
A couple of matching classic white and green gift boxes and then it all starts again 🙏🏻
Please continue to recommend me for funerals , weddings etc as it’s much appreciated 🌻

The wedding of Alanah and Adam atRivington Hall Barn , always a pleasure to do work at this fabulous venue. Alanah carried a romantic bouquet of muted shades with a hint of autumn carried through in the specially painted ferns, the honey coloured dresses of her four bridesmaids blending beautifully with the flowers and soft trailing ribbons . And of course the owl had pride of place at the reception to signify where the engagement took place which was the “Tawny Owl Hotel”… maybe she will watch over this lovely couple now as they start their journey as husband and wife … congratulations Alanah and Adam… it was a pleasure to play a small part in your day … thankyou 🙏🏻

A little bit of Harry Potter this week with a request for the “ deathly hallows” symbol… a little artistic licence used as it’s actually a black sign but I thought that would be too severe so used a favourite colour of Jacqueline’s instead and some stunning “ Jeff Leathem” vanda orchids added a touch of wizardry with their beautiful dark spotted flowers…sincere condolences to this lovely family who I have known for over 40 years … boxes and bouquets for all sorts of occasions and then on to the wedding of Alanah and Adam which I will post next week.. thanks for the support as always , appreciated so much 🙏🏻

A week of different styles, 50 white premium roses for a groom to present to his bride before their traditional Asian wedding, classic hand tied whites and greens and the ever popular hat box arrangements which I seem to get asked for so often … then on to the making of another owl but this time in all artificial ( so much more difficult than fresh flowers) but I think she ( defo a she😊) turned out quite well.. she will be gracing a table at an upcoming wedding as there is a sentimental meaning … back to weddings and bespoke orders next week , Thankyou for the business as always 🙏🏻

Proud to asked to make a wreath in the colours and emblem of The Royal Corps of Signals who’s Latin motto “ certo cito” translates as swift and sure which encompasses the whole ethos of this regiment …quite a few birthday boxes sent out this week , with summer colours dominating … hard to believe we are now over halfway through the year … I swear it goes quicker as we get older !
Also a little glimpse into part of the flower wholesale fridge where I seem to spend so much time choosing quality blooms .. actually a much welcome relief from the heat 😊

Another hot week so limiting my buying to pre orders… it’s generally a quiet time building up to school holidays , vacations etc.. a time that my dad used to call “ the summer doldrums” 😊 that’s not changed much over the years … so what I’m saying is that pre ordering in advance is a must at the moment as it’s too wasteful to keep stock in when I can buy fresh for each days orders only … a little of this weeks offerings and a throwback to Hedwig the owl on his book of spells ( Harry Potter fans will know) how is it 12 months already since I carved and made that 😳
Enjoy the sun while it’s here as we don’t see too much of this weather 🌻x
