(Maxine here) - just a little reflection for a Monday morning, as having time away from the shop with my little boy has given me the break I needed to remember why I love being a florist. If you believe the media these days, they would have us think that the world is full of nothing but hate and negativity. But a quick Google tells me that the UK floristry industry alone is worth over a billion pounds, and flowers are only ever sent through love! Whether it's a birthday or anniversary gift, a get well soon, a funeral, sympathy or wedding flowers, a new baby or even thanks for taking my pet to the vet (we had that last week!), all the bouquets and arrangements we are lucky enough to make are made because of love in one form or another. Just a little something to remember when the world feels tough, and maybe a little reminder to send a bunch of flowers to someone you love 💜💜

It's hydrangea season once again! We love these beautiful, blowsy blooms, and even just a few stems can make a real statement in a vase. We have them available in the shop most days but please order ahead if you have any special colour requests 💜

A reminder that we are closed weekly on Sunday and Monday, and back open on Tuesdays with lovely fresh flowers. It's looking like another warm week coming up, so we will have slightly less on our flower stand to avoid any wastage. This week is looking super sunny and warm, perfect for a barbeque but not so much for flowers! A reminder that if you receive flowers this week, please keep them in a cool room away from direct sunshine and change the water every 1-2 days to ensure they last as long as possible 💜

We're back open on Tuesday with fresh flowers although we'll have a smaller than usual selection to avoid any wastage. And the shop itself is always lovely and cool, so come along for a cool down and treat yourself at the same time! 💜
