Victoria Louise Interiors We spend a lot of time in our home and it can have a big impact on our mood when we return to it in the evening. Prices start at £150 per room.

We want it to look good but it also needs to be homely, comfortable and reflect our personality. We can all find inspiration these days; online, in homes magazines and on Pinterest. But turning that inspiration into a reality can often be difficult and all consuming - picking furniture, wall coverings, flooring, lighting, window dressing, etc, etc and co-ordinating contractors to complete work can

be stressful. Victoria Louise Interiors takes this stress away for you. The service includes a FREE consultation during which time I will visit you to view the room(s) to be designed and talk with you about your likes and dislikes and ideas and get a feel for you and how you will use the space. Shortly after this consultation you will receive a mood board, visualisation of the room and an estimate for the work. At this stage I can pass the designs over to you to
bring the room to life or I can manage the full project and contractors and style the space for you at the end. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss further or to arrange an appointment.

Afternoon guys, and happy Saturday 🤍
A lovely start to the day with a morning call with a potential new client who’s just picked up the keys to her new rental in central London.
She’s a very busy young professional with a fabulous apartment — beautiful proportions, big bay windows, loads of natural light and, at the moment, completely whitewashed walls. Basically, a gorgeous blank canvas.
Of course, with a rental there are often limitations around what you can change permanently, but that definitely doesn’t mean it can’t feel considered, stylish and completely your own.
This is where clever furniture layouts, statement mirrors, artwork, lighting, textiles and all those decorative layers really come into their own. You can create so much personality and a real sense of home without touching the structure or making permanent changes.
The imagery I’m sharing here is just a little inspiration pulled together from Pinterest this morning, to check that I’d properly gauged the look and feel she’s hoping to achieve — warm, elegant, slightly eclectic and full of personality. I think we’re definitely on the same page ✨

Last day of the summer holidays here 🤍
My eldest is back to school tomorrow and my youngest has her very first day of high school, which feels slightly impossible!
It’s been such a lovely summer and I’ve really tried to switch off a little over these last few days and just enjoy the time with the children, while getting everyone organised for going back.
So if you’ve messaged or emailed me and I’ve been a bit slow getting back to you, thank you for bearing with me. I’ll be catching up over the next few days and into next week and replying to everyone I haven’t managed to get back to yet.
Then it’s back into a proper routine, back to work and lots of lovely interiors projects to get stuck into for autumn. 🤍

A slow Bank Holiday Monday here 🤍
It’s been such a lovely summer — lots of sunshine, days out and time with the kids — but I think I’m ready for a bit of routine again now.
They’re back at school later this week, so I’m looking forward to getting properly stuck back into work and some lovely new projects for autumn and the run-up to Christmas.

A little throwback to this Boothstown project from a several years ago — the kitchen/dining extension at the back of the panelled living room I shared a few days ago.

The brief was inspired by a piece of artwork and was interpreted as an industrial family space with plenty of character. Anthracite cabinetry, a bold tiled breakfast bar, warm timber & brass and little hits of ochre gave it just that.

And that skylight flooded the whole space with the most amazing natural light.

Such a fun one to work on, and still a favourite. 🤎

Another one from the archives… 🤍

For this Victorian dining room, I wanted to create something that felt contemporary while still sitting comfortably within the proportions and character of the original space.

The dining table was completely bespoke — I designed a steel frame with a solid quartz top which, unsurprisingly, weighed an absolute tonne. I seem to remember it taking four or five men just to manoeuvre it into the house!

We paired it with powder blue velvet dining chairs to soften the strong lines of the table, then brought in black accents through the oversized mirror, accessories and Sputnik chandelier for a more modern take on a traditional Victorian dining room.

I still love the contrast of old and new in this room — proof that period properties don't have to be designed in a completely traditional way to respect their character.

I was searching through some old photos earlier and came across this project from around seven or eight years ago — a family living room I designed in Boothstown.

And it immediately brought back such lovely memories. 🤍

It was one of those projects I was genuinely so proud of at the time, and looking at it again now, I still am. The soft neutral palette, the wall panelling, those beautiful textures and that statement sideboard all came together to create a room that felt elegant but still completely comfortable and liveable for family life.

It’s funny how you can almost forget about some of the rooms you’ve worked on over the years, and then one photograph takes you straight back.

A little reminder that good design doesn’t have to follow trends — sometimes the rooms you love years later are the ones that simply felt right from the beginning.

There’s something so special about seeing a space actually being used exactly as you imagined it. 🤍

My client sent me this gorgeous photo of her grandson discovering his little secret den for the very first time at their second home in Abersoch — and I think it’s safe to say it was a hit.

Tucked away, we turned what could easily have been forgotten space into a cosy little hideaway, layered with soft textiles, a canopy, playful coastal details and plenty of cushions for curling up, playing and making memories.

For me, interior design isn’t just about creating beautiful rooms. It’s about thinking about how a home will actually be lived in — and sometimes the smallest spaces end up becoming the most magical ones.

This little face says it all. 💙

Sometimes, employing an interior designer isn’t about ripping everything out and going back to brick.

Sometimes the best transformations come from working with what’s already there — recognising what works, enhancing the good bones of a room, and making considered changes that completely shift how the space feels.

In this bedroom, the aim was to create something calm, elegant and beautifully pulled together without unnecessarily starting from scratch. Existing elements were retained, then layered with a softer palette, considered furniture, lighting, texture and those all-important finishing details.

The result? A space that feels entirely different — proof that a transformation doesn’t always have to mean a full renovation.

Thoughtful design is just as much about knowing what to keep as it is knowing what to change.
