My sister in law Geeta has set up her new clinic in Selborne and so I have been along today for my first treatment…..like many of us over the age of 60 we were utterly ignorant about sun protection and also the first generation to go on “foreign” holidays and I was even lucky enough to work at Disneyland Florida….all this extreme sun exposure (although a huge amount of fun!) has taken its toll on my skin, added to this my cancer medication now removes any remaining oestrogen so my face was rapidly turning into a wrinkled old lady! After an initial consultation with Geeta the thilium laser treatment takes c 40minutes - I left feeling and looking slightly red but after a few hours this had reduced significantly- so maybe better to do it when you have a quiet few days ahead not just before a big event or holiday! I will be going back for some more focussed treatment on the scar on my cheek which was caused by extreme sun damage but I can’t wait to see the glow in a few weeks time. If you have any queries re getting your skin to look as good as it can - my expectations are realistic that I will not look like Claudia Schuster next week but a professional anaesthetic consultant like Geeta is the one to talk to….drop her a message and also give her a follow and tell her you are a friend of mine! Pretty new window seat delivered on Saturday creating the perfect spot to sit and read in the spring ☀️…the news this weekend is pretty scary and thoughts with anyone caught up in the chaos xx

A little family trip to Canada to celebrate the wedding of my gorgeous nephew Dan and Kate…incredible time in Calgary and then he kindly invited us on his first honeymoon too…so many happy days and memories to treasure - THANK YOU to you all

2016 …..what a year…I can’t believe we did so much!
The last birthday I celebrated with my lovely Dad, 25th Wedding Anniversary on a family holiday to Portugal, Kate became a teenager, Skiing and a trip to see Andrew and Mags in Canada, Adam cycled to Milan from Headley Down in 9 days and Olly decided to enter the Boxing ring…and Sachin was just the cutest little chap….seems only like yesterday!

As per normal got around to writing lots of Christmas cards but I will be making a donation to The Fountain Centre at Guildford - they are an amazing charity nestled quietly in the heart of RSCH offering complementary therapies and counselling for cancer patients…it was not somewhere I thought I would need to access but with a team of lovely volunteers the aftercare is just so kind and an important place for when all the medical stuff and support is over. So wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a fabulous 2026 ###x

Another house full of curtains and blinds fitted today….just adore the kitchen ones adding a pop of colour but also they stack back neatly to one side to keep the door open in the summer….always such a pleasure to finish the year and deliver the final curtains before the Christmas festivities begin
