Painting a poem about artists

Be thankful for artists
and poets and dreamers.
Revere the outsiders
and odd inbetweeners.

Praise those that create
and have something to say,
For they help you see life
In a different way.

Diolchwn am gelfyddydwyr,
beirdd a breuddwydwyr.
Clodforwn y rhai ar y cyrion
a'r rhai diddorol, ar yr ymylon.

Canmolwn y rhai sy'n creu,
sydd â rhywbeth i'w ddweud.
Gyda nhw fe welwn
amgenach, ryfeddach fyd.

I started work on this mural today. It looks a bit Mondrian at the moment, but it's going to be a poem, Welsh on the left and English on the right, with each colour block containing a line from the poem.

The poem is about artists and I'm inviting local artists to help illustrate the text.

It's just one of the events going on this bank holiday weekend as part of Borthfest, our very own arts festival.
