And here is what I made - a base painting, that we masked and turned into a mini book, an art journal page with gel printing, a beautiful painting with brushes and bleach, and the easiest image transfer technique ever to crate the glass-like image that's suspended in the frame.

My Honest Review - The Stampin' Hot Foil System (long post alert)

Ive been a papercrafter for 20 years and to date, I resisted buying a hot foil system. I thought it was money I didn't need to spend....I could just heat emboss and get the same results etc etc.....well how wrong was I!!!!

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I get at least 20% off all my purchases, as well as earning 10% rewards on anything I buy (just like any customer), so I was able to get the machine at a sizable discount. A discount that made it significantly cheaper than the existing machines on the market (which are difficult to find in stock in the UK anyway). So I thought....oh go on then.

Today has been my first play day with the system and I'm absolutely blown away by the results, and just how easy it is to use. I have tried to foil on every papercrafting medium I had to hand, and I got brilliant results with all of them. You can see what I tried in the photos.

As a long standing Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I was still a Big Shot girl. It still worked so I had never got around to upgrading myself to the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. When my Stampin' Foil system arrived, and I realised it wouldn't fit through my trusty old Big Shot, I was disappointed at first, but then I decided it was the push I needed to finally upgrade myself. And again, with my Demonstrator discount, and my Stampin' rewards, the machine worked out much cheaper than other machines on the market anyway. I had already the used the machine at many events, so I no issues with its quality or performance.

So, it's a resounding 10/10 from me for this foiling product line. Consistent results every time....I may never heat emboss again!

It's always a good time to join Stampin' Up!, but I'd say this foiling machine is making it a fantastic time to join.
