This Saturday we now have 3 places available, so if you’re interested don’t miss out on the chance to join textile and fibre artist Sarah, here in Saltaire. She will work with you to create your own piece of artwork depicting a classic Dales scene. You will use wet felting to create your picture, and then enhance it to add depth and embellishment with needle felting and machine free motion embroidery.

This is a fantastic workshop for people to learn wet felting skills or develop their ideas and techniques in new and exciting ways.

Their Sheepsoft range, unites the finest Bluefaced Leicester and Masham breeds into the most stunning yarns.

New Fibreknit brings a chunky option, that’s light and airy for warmth, so do pop in to check out Michelle’s one ball cosy crochet Cobble Lane Collar pattern.

They use 100% British wool from heritage sheep breeds. Most fibers come from farms within 50 miles of the mill, right here in Baildon.

Hand make blankets for kids in care …

A community project to wrap children in warmth, comfort, and care -
Calling all knitters, crocheters, makers, and kind-hearted neighbours!
Join us as we again make more cosy handmade blankets for children and young people in care. This Local Therapeutic Social Work Team promote the emotional well-being of children and their carers to help address the effects of abuse, trauma, and neglect. They would like each child to be given their own comfort blanket to keep, so they can have it with them to provide a warm hug in times of need. Every blanket made is a small but meaningful reminder that someone in the community is thinking of them.

How you can help
• Make a small blanket — knit or crochet
Size to be about 100 – 150 cm
Any stitch or pattern (not too lacey or open in texture)
Bright bold fun colours are best
Please aim to complete your blankets and bring them here in November
