A lot of research has been done about the benefits of nature and how it improves our mental and physical wellbeing. However, it has been shown that when we build a real connection with nature, we get more benefits but also build a respectful two way relationship, where as well as nature helping us, we in turn help nature and our beautiful earth. We can build that relationship by using pro environmental actions. One of the first steps is just to notice the nature around you at a deeper level using all your senses. Smell flowers, listen to birdsong, forage for wild fruit or herbs, feel the wind on your face. What animals live in your environment ? Learn more about them to understand what their lives are like. Set yourself a goal of one thing you can do this coming week to build a stronger connection with nature.

Trees, especially conifers, produce aromatic compounds called terpenes, which when inhaled bring positive benefits like stress relief, reducing inflammation, boosting cognitive function and immune function. Get out there in the woods, touch the trees and breathe in the goodness.

Been foraging and got wild cherry plums, apples and blackberries. Finding your own food gives a satisfying feeling and you are out in nature and sunlight which are both good for you. Next are elderberries to make some elderberry syrup, which is so good for you. It contains lots of vitamin c and antioxidants and can help with heart health, controlling blood sugar, inflammation, and gives the immune system a boost.

The body does actually believe and act on what your mind tells it. The power of visualisation is huge and has been researched and proven. However, when you use visualisation you have to use all your senses and see it, feel it, taste it, smell it, hear it. This also links to the Law of attraction. You will attract what your mind puts out there. But you have to be in alignment meaning that every part of you wants it. You have to BELIEVE it can happen. If doubts creep in then it won't work. See it like its happening now and show gratitude for it. If you want something, then start visualising and believing. Make it happen.
