Firstly, a big thank you to everyone over the past 2 months for your kind wishes, support and donations. These have meant a great deal to us, we’ve been blown away by the level of response.

Secondly, and with regret, we are now into the last weeks of the shops current lease. We had advertised the closing down sale locally but thought we should also update this page for those who didn’t see the article or weren’t aware. We have been asked several times if we could continue to operate the shop but unfortunately in its present form this simple isn’t possible.

The current intention is to trade until next Tuesday (18th October) at the shop, we have a final stock clearance sale ongoing now so anyone wishing to purchase will need to do so in the next week.
Please note that some stock items have already sold out, we will try to update this page over the week with some clearance items but if you are after something specific, please call us on 01376 347927 beforehand to save disappointment and a wasted trip.

Lastly it has really meant a lot to know how well-loved dad was by the local community and how much his services will be missed which is a wonderful tribute to him.

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Cornell. Father, grandfather, husband and proprietor of Cornell's furnishings.

We have been touched by the thoughts of those who have popped into the shop to pass on their condolences and know many of you have been enquiring about any funeral arrangements. In line with his wishes the funeral will be a small family affair but for those of you who would like to contribute please visit this Just Giving page we have setup:

The charity was close to his heart and it would mean a great deal to him to provide them with extra support. On the page you can also read a little more about him and his love for the charity.
