All of my journals have been made by me. Using old packaging {to include cup-a-soup boxes, my boys medication boxes!}, along with preloved books that have simply been forgotten about and ready to be thrown away, oh and the most beautiful paper ephemera. This recycling, upcycling at its greatest and the perfect gift for someone one to note down their thoughts, draw their favourite subject, add yet more beautiful paper or mixed media.
I’m working on a whole bunch of spiral bound Ladybird books that will be ready for the wonderful .eco.christmas fair next month! ♻️ ❤️ ✌🏼

- AMBER ALERT!

No, not a weather warning, just a little introduction to new treasures that have arrived at the shop recently…
Beautiful amber encapsulated in sterling silver!
Did you know that amber isn’t actually a gemstone, but fossilised tree resin? Some pieces are over 30–50 million years old, carrying within them a tiny glimpse of the natural world from long ago. Amber has been treasured for thousands of years, worn by ancient civilisations as jewellery and often associated with warmth, protection and good fortune.

With its gorgeous golden hues, honeyed glow and unique natural character, every piece of amber has its own story to tell — and we think that makes it rather special.

It was a busy day in the shop today {which we just love!} and so lovely to meet some wonderful new customers.

As always, we’re beyond grateful for all the love.

You’re so welcome…

We’ve seen a little flurry of new followers recently. So thought we’d share our little shop and the reasons behind it with you

Mummybird Pretties was inspired by a dream I had in creating something for the community and something for Jack and Sam.

Both of these amazing young men have additional needs, and navigating life with additional needs has opened our eyes to just how difficult it can be to find suitable activities, spaces and opportunities within the community.

There can be a real lack of provision, understanding and accessible things to do for people who don’t quite fit into typical boxes.

Behind every customer popping in, every sale, every like, every share and every follow is a little business trying to build something positive from our own experiences.

So if you’ve just found us, thank you for being here.

Whether you’re here because you love our pretties, you’re a fellow AN parent, you’re supporting a small business, or you’ve simply stumbled across us — we’re so pleased to have you.
