Calico 1 meter unshrunk after washing at cool temperature, lost about 2cm in width. You can see the difference why. Bare in mind unshrunk calico from the mill still smells, and you really need to give it a wash before starting a project on it. It will shrink further after few more washes. The good thing is, after washing it feels nice and soft.
