Rustic bench was this year's Mother's Day present from my two main men (husband and son). They made it from a bit of reclaimed oak.

Rug's coming on well...quite exciting deciding on the colour of each patch. 😍
Happily, it's suddenly gardening time again, full on (we spent yesterday building a new raised bed) so my time is now shared inside and out. Wondrous wild garlic is around in abundance; (I'd honestly recommend getting out in nature and grabbing yourself some. Learn to forage and grow veg. Get some hens if you can; we're getting 11 beautiful eggs every day now!) πŸ“πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š
Self sufficiency is the way forward...

Very excited to be making rugs for these two beautiful 😍 yurts in East Devon, where owners Jan and Caroline grow food in abundance and do organic veg boxes.
My family and I stayed at Buzzard yurt, Holyford a few years ago; it was our first ever glamping experience and it was amazing!
A project such as this means a holiday there too, (and a dip in their new hot tub and wild swimming pool).

Customer wanted yellows, browns and greens.
Nice combination. Spring-like and homely.
Apparently, it's going in a kitchen atop an old oak floor.

I think it looks very cosy and so do the flames of her lovely log burner!
The thing I love about rag rugs is how soft they are underfoot, and how they use up all bits of scraps and unwanted fabrics.
And as time passes by, and their beauty fades, you can always use them atop your compost bin.😊 Hopefully, this one will remain inside for a good many years first.

Actually looked a lot more green in 'the flesh' than on the photos.
My customer was over the moon with it...said it was something really special!πŸ™
Wonderful to hear...🎡to my ears!
Started another one which I'll post pics of soon. In the meantime, been rifling through my bags of donated fabrics and found some beauts from Sanderson. Too nice to cut up for rugs though me thinks.....😊❀️❀️

Amazingly, we're still digging up carrots from the veg patch, despite it being January πŸ˜¬β„οΈπŸ₯•πŸ₯•.....and our homemade cider is now ready for consumption...(made from local apples which we scrumped last autumn). (It's in the greenhouse, on tap, if anyone fancies calling by to try it....πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)
I love making, creating, growing (and sharing); it's so good for the soul....πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ₯€πŸ₯€πŸ’šπŸ’™β€οΈ
