👻 BOO!! As it’s almost Halloween I thought I should dust off the cobwebs and bring my Etsy shop back from the dead after a loooong break (almost a year 🫣).

Today is officially granny square day 🧶😍

Granny squares are the most common go-to for people learning to crochet because of their simplicity! They mostly just use two stitches: chain stitch and double crochet (or single crochet if you use British terms).

I however did not make a single granny square until last year!!! I think I thought I’d find them boring and monotonous, plus flashbacks of horrendous granny square blankets donated to vets I’ve worked in 😂

Little did I know all of the incredible things you can make from them! Pictured are some of my granny square creations since my epiphany:

1• Granny square cross body bag.

2• Granny Square Blanket. Still a WIP that I need to finish!

2) Granny Hexagon Cardigan. This pattern by is incredibly addictive and easy to follow. Somehow the only photo I have of it is my dog using it as a blanket, even though I wear it ALL the time!

If anyone is keen on picking up a hook, I definitely recommend granny squares as a starting block!

I may or may not have been obsessively making moon phase wall hangings over the past week! Sneak peak of some of the WIP’s I have going on at the minute - they all need finishing touches, but I’m happy with how they’re turning out!

Getting there slowly with this WIP! I decided to re-purpose some of the face scrubbies I made earlier this year by making them into granny squares that I’m going to stitch together to make a blanket. It’s such a nice project because I can just make a square whilst I have a 10 minute cuppa!

Look at all those ends to sew in though 🫣😭
