A huge well done to our Operations Manager, Matt, who has completed an incredible 54-mile walk across the Cairngorm Mountains in under 24 hours.

Matt took part in the Cateran Yomp, raising funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, and finished in an outstanding 21 hours and 10 minutes, earning a gold medal. It was a seriously tough challenge, with stiff legs and sore feet all round, but all for a very worthwhile cause.

Everyone at Somerset Willow is proud of Matt and the team for their achievement, and we’re pleased to be making a £250 donation in support of their fundraising.

We’re proud to support the Yayasan Usaha Mulia (YUM) Foundation, an Indonesian charity that works alongside local communities to improve access to education, healthcare and sustainable livelihoods.

YUM’s focus on long-term, practical change is what makes their work important to us, helping families and communities build resilience and opportunity for the future.

Since 2024, we’ve donated £22,383 directly to the YUM Foundation to support this work, and we continue to support the charity each year as part of our wider commitment to giving back.

Two years ago, we moved to our new home at Peninsula Business Park in Bridgwater. This was the result of several years of planning and a 12-month construction phase.

While the relocation has allowed our workforce to grow, the priority was the working environment for our staff.

All the effort was intended to deliver a workplace where people feel looked after and valued, with modern welfare facilities, shower rooms, a staff canteen, open plan working, and outdoor spaces designed to support how our team works.

Looking back at the construction phase, we’re pleased with what we have achieved, not just the structure itself, but the environment we’ve created for our team.
