🛋️ Fixed or reclining—which sofa would suit you best?
A fixed sofa offers straightforward comfort, a wide choice of styles and often a slightly neater shape. It can be ideal if you prefer a traditional sofa or want to make the most of a smaller room.
A recliner allows you to put your feet up and change your seating position. You can choose from manual or power-operated models, with some ranges also offering adjustable headrests and lumbar support.
There is no right or wrong choice—it depends on the space available, how you like to relax and which feels most comfortable to you.
At Bedrock Furniture, you can try both fixed and reclining sofas in our Bridgwater showroom. We may not display every available size or colour, but we can show you the options and help you find the right combination for your home.

🧵 Could a local nursery or school make use of these? Picture is just a couple of the large bag we have.

We’ve been having a sort out at Bedrock Furniture and have lots of fabric swatches that are no longer needed. They’re a mix of colours, patterns and textures, and we’d love to see them put to good use for craft projects or other creative activities.

They’re free to anyone who can use them. If your nursery, school or group would like them, please send us a message to arrange collection from the shop. We’d hate to see them go to waste!

We also have a roll of the large bubble wrap that wasn't collected, ideal for moving house if anyone can make use of it.

🎉 WE HAVE A WINNER! 🎉

A big congratulations to Michèl – Hair Studio & Education, who won our free advertising giveaway with 29% of the votes! 🥳

They’ll be joining the Bedrock Media Board for November, so their business will be on screen for the month—including when the Carnival crowds are passing. 🎭

Thank you to everyone who nominated a local business and took the time to vote. Congratulations to our winner 👏

📣 FREE ADVERTISING GIVEAWAY! 📣

With the road outside the shop closed this week and things a little quieter than usual, I thought it was a good time to give another local business the chance to get noticed!

Nominate a local business you’d love to see advertised on the Bedrock Media Board. Comment their name below and share this post to help spread the word.

The first 20 businesses nominated will go into a poll, and then it’s over to you to vote for the business you think should win a free advertising slot! 🗳️

With Bridgwater Carnival coming up, businesses advertising on the board will also be seen by the crowds passing by. 🎭

There are still advertising spaces available to book for the run-up to Carnival too. If you’d like to get your business in front of local people, send me a message and I’ll tell you more about the packages.
