What a happy and productive eco printing day at Taunton's Brewhouse Theatre, inspiring 8 new natural dyers. The vibrant results from dried plant material made a summer of relentless watering very worth while, and I hope will inspire new natural dye journeys. Thank you to all who came, to Jasuin - Vintage Kimono fabric and handmade accessories and gifts. for the vintage silk lining that dyed so beautifully, and to all at the Brewhouse who have long enabled engaging creative experiences.

Silk fusion - what a sunny Saturday I had today with the lovely ladies at Avalon Stitchers - was it raining outside?! Every silk lamp and tealight was just stunning and beaming sunshine :)

We're off the blocks with the first day of our Heritage Craft Escape at the atmospheric Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster - a gloriously happy day with Quilliance and Books and Bindings, sharing passementerie, bookbinding and quilling skills.

My collection of vintage passamenterie braids is growing, with many thanks to Tilly 'D' for wonderful new additions. It's fascinating to examine these incredible woven braids, and fun to think how they can be used in the 21st century. The trend for household decor is moving to 'cosy' this winter, and my introduction to passementerie as part of a Heritage Craft Escape in Dunster next week is perfect timing. :)

Picture perfect passementerie in delightful Dunster Castle and Watermill. The first castle I ever saw as a child, it continues to wow me and offer up new fabulous finds :)
