A road closure was put in place on Burnley Road, Rawtenstall by United Utilities, due to a water leak.

To help reduce disruption, the road closure will now be replaced with temporary traffic lights for the remainder of the works, allowing the road to remain open while repairs continue.

The current permit for the works runs until Wednesday 9 September. However, workers on site have confirmed that the source of the leak has now been identified and are hopeful that repairs can be completed sooner, allowing the road to fully reopen before then.
