⚜️Exactly 3 years ago today I tried my first wood burning. I've come a long way as an artist and have endless opportunities to keep pushing myself over the next 3 years. Keep practicing, it does pay off and everyone has something to work towards improving. I absolutely love doing pyrography!! I adore the sweet woodsy smell that the burning creates, Pyrography has shown me a different perspective of drawing. While it does take a steady hand and concentration, it is also a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

I only wish I could spent more time on it.

What Is Pyrography?
Pyrography is exactly wood burning but pyrography also means burning onto other surfaces as well besides wood. So pyrography art is burning designs onto wood, leather, paper, gourds, or whatever is possible to burn. The definition is writing with fire, so pyrography covers all burnable surfaces!

Did you know that the earliest surviving pyrography artifacts are from Peru and Roman Britain and date back way before First Century AD? Before electricity, and the invention of the electrified wood burning pen, artisans would use fire heated metal rods of various thickness and point size that were applied to wooden surfaces to create intricate designs.

A great looking, functional coat rack. Ideal to help organise your hallway or wherever you may need it. Our coat racks are attractive addition to any home. Every one of these is unique.
It's a warm natural oak effect, finished with linseed oil to protect the wood and to bring out natural characteristics of the wood grain.
Please note that each piece of wood will look different and show different grains pattern, splits due to their naturally individual arrangements of wood fibres.

- depth approx 2 cm (with hooks 7cm)
Our products are made using reclaimed wood giving them a new purpose. Each piece has history, has worked, travelled and as such has their own marks, dents and scars giving it its own unique story.
