Floranina Floranina delivers bespoke floral designs for all occasions. Workshops & courses are also available.

Nina and her team have been making floral dreams come true for many clients since 2008 (first as Ninushka Designs and then as Floranina from 2014). Nina became a NAFAS Area Demonstrator in 2018 and her demonstrations bring a lot of cheer to flower clubs and other organisations. She also completed a NAFAS/OCN Teacher Training (Level 3) course in 2021. Nina regularly teaches floral design in and aro

With a background in journalism Nina spent ten years as Editor of various floral magazines; Flora Magazine (from September 2023 to May 2025; the magazine then ceased trading in June 2025); British Florist Association's trade magazine (from December 2018 to August 2023); UK Editorial Advisor for Fleur Creatif (November 2018 until the imprint ceased trading during the summer of 2023); Flora International Magazine (January 2015 to October 2018).

Today was the Flower Arranging and Design Sussex's Area Day and lots of members were treated to a double delight.

First, in the morning, we had such an interesting talk by Karen Frew on the genius that was Christian Dior, and then came a floriferous Oriental feast in the afternoon by National Demonstrator Julie Loudon.

And a delicious packed lunch was included for everyone too.

What a treat of a day!

What a perfect evening with my learners tonight albeit that it was pretty humid in class.

And so much hard work for them creating intricate cascading bouquets but they all pulled it off in just over an hour and a half. Wowser!??!! I'm so proud I'm fit to burst... and they all look pretty proud too!

Very well done Becky, Tricia, Moira, Gayle, Jan C, Petra, Pauline, Glynis, Sam and Debbie.

Once again June missed the session but hopefully she will finally come along next week.

Another fun design to challenge them all then. And I'm looking forward to it already... 😊

I have to admit I got a bit teary earlier... my two little ones were playing and suddenly Reuben and Daisy declared that they'd made the Cathedral and I was inside it making flowers...

A week on from the flower festival opening but they obviously still remember their Famo in action!!

To be honest, I think those strawberries really struck a cord!!

A brilliant session tonight with my learners tackling the various challenges that a pinholder brings...

We all learnt so much about composition and balance and not to mention patience!!

But despite a few collapsed designs, everyone preserved and the end results are all stunning.

Lucky we have photos to show what they all looked like in class as the journey home was probably another challenge... 🙃🤭🙃

Did someone say floral design is calming and relaxing!!?? 🤣🤣
