plant dyed bed linen, layers of madder & weld 🍓🍋

this is a project that’s been bubbling in my mind for a number of years, almost since i started playing with plant dyes. for reasons unknown to me, my mind & soul decided the best time to make it happen was early in December 2021 - amongst already well overstuffed days. between workshops, festive prep, day job, creating colour cords & whatever else, i hand dyed my bed linen using existing & fresh dye baths across three days. it felt good to put to use old dye baths & i’m happy to say these pictures were taken after two washes... so the colorfastness is looking good. the colours & the textures in the fabric lift my spirits🌼

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to the lovely local vineyards who went out of their way to make sure we could bring our workshop such a delicious selection of wines 🔥

Hand delivered & full of information for us to share ! If you’re looking for an extra special Christmas present or a tour around a vineyard or to meet some gorgeous people make sure you get yourself some of their wines and follow their passionate work 👏
