My first completed e-spinning project! I used the husband designed and built e-spinner (second photo) which was super fun to use. Ended up with about 300 grams of a delightfully plump bulky weight yarn, which I think will be used to knit a Jaunty shawl.

Another self drafted sweater post!

Although I am pretty pleased with this jumper, there are definitely a few things I would change if I were to make it again. I unfortunately made the yoke too deep, which affects how the jumper sits around the shoulders when I’m moving my arms. I also think the yoke shape would have been better if I had designed the motif myself, because in this case I was trying to shoehorn in existing motifs from different patterns, which led to a fairly uneven distribution of stitch increases to accommodate the design I had in mind.

All in all though, a good learning experience and it is exactly what I need for the current cold spell we are having!

Let me know if you have any tips for self drafting sweaters or if you would give it a go yourself?

My last finished object of the year! If you saw my stories you might know I was trying to finish this beanie for Christmas. That didn’t happen, but I did finish it a few days later! This is my first non-sock project working on 2.25mm needles and I really did not realise how long it would take 😅 Anyway, I think .forge is pleased with how it turned out!

Another entry for the being hosted by .knits 🐟

I modified this Jaunty Shawl and omitted some of the central increases, as I was worried about running out of yarn and not having a long enough shawl. This created a rhomboid shape. I shouldn’t have worried though as I definitely had enough yarn left at the end! Loved the pattern though and will definitely be making more - it’s a perfect project for stash busting!
