Another florist gone!

It's real hard at the moment. Its been hard for a good couple of years. Every month is a gift. And thankfully I have so much support for free, from their hearts carrying it all a little. Thank you.

It's high street florists that are being hit hardest.

The sun on an autumn day. Lush.
The balance of the beauty of sun struck flowers without taking away their life and making them bloom too quickly.
It's a careful journey.
Always remember that all the flowers look great in the light. Too much of the sun isn't good for cut flowers.
Let them bring light to the darker areas.

Remember to get your orders in for Tuesday.
You can ask for a healing pack of flowers and other items. Maybe you did or didn't know this.

I feel lots of people have not received a big proper hug. I'm sending one.

❤️

New figures on su***de rates have been published by the Office of National Statistics. The numbers are devastating.

Please read the rest of this post with care. If you need support, visit our website where you can find advice, information and services that can help.

This is what the figures show:

1/ 6,162 people were registered as dying by su***de in England and Wales last year.
2/ Men are three times more likely to die by su***de than women
3/ Middle aged men Middle aged men continue to have the highest su***de rate on record.

Every su***de is a tragedy. Behind every number is an unfinished story.

This must be a wake up call for the UK government.

They need to act now, to get people support early, before they reach crisis point.

We are calling for same-day open access, where people who reach out for help receive meaningful support the very same day.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of each and every one of the 6162 lives lost to su***de last year, and anyone who has been affected by su***de.

This is a big moment.

Today the UK government have published their independent review into the prevalence of mental health conditions, autism and ADHD.

The findings reveal that:

1/ There has been a genuine rise in the number of people developing mental health problems, particularly in young people

2/ Increased demand on services is not driven by overdiagnosis

3/ The current system is not working for people it’s meant to serve

We’ve seen this across our services for years.

Young people are crying out for help with their mental health because of genuine life challenges, and it’s time to listen.

This must be the start of a major shift in what support looks like going forward.

We are urgently calling on the UK government to move to a model of same-day open access support. The right care, from someone who really sees and understands you, can prevent years of distress and worsening outcomes.

With the new mental health strategy on the horizon, now is the time to ensure that our system works for everyone. This report needs to be a watershed moment to make the change that people want – and need – to see.

Support today saves lives tomorrow.

I stayed in the sun, so I kept squinting so I didn't have to see myself. I knew I'd be tempted to look.

Please listen if you can to the whole thing. I appreciate its long and maybe irrelevant to many, but for some of you, I think it will have valid things in.

It was World Mental Health Day on Saturday, and I couldn't say anything. It wouldn't come. I was having a bad mental health day.

The theme was Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.

And I think it was this that hit me in the gut.
The being real - the talking about mental health, the here, the now. I like to be open. I've never hid from you, but a few experiences I've had over the last year and a bit have made me nervous about being completely open.
I don't want to change.

Anyway, I'm working on the words, and I'll come back to you soon.

Anyone else feeling able to share about their mental health?

Very much love,

Flowers to say I love you, you are brilliant, and congratulations all in one.

Lighter, gentle colours with little pops of the Hypericum Berry, which are not quite orange.

I can make you less busy bunches, with just a few types of flowers if you would like, but my natural style is to include different types and different surprises as they transform. Something different to look at every day. Something to keep you connecting with your flowers so you get their full magical powers.

How are people feeling today? People seem tired. Colds.
Aches.
Settling into routines that we need but hate.
Pushing through, preparing, and building up.
Caring about others and not themselves enough.
They want to show people that they care.
Mixed feelings.

That's what today in the flowershop has been so far...

All the feels ...

❤️
