Before the photos, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.

Layout decisions.

Electrical plans.

Samples everywhere.

Conversations about how the space needs to work.

The finished room is the final layer.

The real value is in getting everything underneath it right.

Three days. Three teenage bedrooms. One very bougie Clifton loft. Richmond Park has been my world this week and I’m completely obsessed with how these spaces are coming together.

Three rooms for three teenage girls, each one feeling like a little hotel escape, and a cinema room landing in a few weeks that I genuinely cannot wait to show you 🎥✨

The finishing touches are always my favourite part and this week did not disappoint 👏👏I found the most gorgeous original paintings from Clifton Antiques and a few brilliant charity shop treasures, Bristol harbours, boats, Park Street scenes.

Proper Bristol soul woven into every corner.

Honestly, I would happily spend a whole weekend tucked away up here. Hotel bougie, Bristol heart. 🎨💛

POV: you asked for one small job and now your whole house is a building site

Home reno reality check ✅

The good news: our builder is a total wizard and the downstairs loo floor is done in record time.

The unexpected news: he's so efficient he's now also doing the family bathroom AND my office ceiling.

The slightly chaotic news: it all starts Monday.

The birthday party for our daughter is Sunday.

My office is… not clear.

This is fine. Everything is fine. 🙃

If your room feels a bit one-note, try this:

Add contrast.

That could be:
• a darker tone
• a different material
• or something with age and texture

Everything being “nice” and matching is usually the problem.

A bit of tension is what makes a space interesting.

Richmond Park Road. Top floor. Home to three girls. 🩷

This one has been almost a year and a half in the making, from the very first design conversations, through quotes and trades, procurement, all the tiny tweaks along the way, and then finally, this week, installation at the property.

This is the stage I live for. It's all hands on deck and I really do mean that literally, because none of this happens without my brilliant team around me.

my VA and absolute wing woman, keeping everything organised and moving behind the scenes. on site with me, doing the heavy lifting, listening to my design thoughts in real time and helping bring it all to life exactly as I'd imagined it. And Dan, our wonderful handyman, making sure everything is fixed, fitted and finished properly.

It's all consuming, and honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

There is something so special about watching a space pull together after all that time and all those decisions. And the thing that keeps me going through every delayed delivery and rescheduled tradesperson is knowing that these rooms are going to make a real difference to the everyday lives lived in them.

That's the whole point, isn't it. 🏠✨

If you're thinking about a project and want someone to take it all the way from design to install, come and find me. Link in bio.

This palette didn’t come from a trend forecast.

It came from the client’s artwork, their travels, and pieces they already loved.

We pulled those threads together and built a scheme that actually meant something.

That’s why it works.

When your home reflects you, it always feels more grounded, more timeless.

This home wasn’t designed around trends.

It was designed around how the client actually lives.

Where they sit in the evening.

How they use the space as a family.

What they need within arm’s reach.

That’s always the starting point.

Because a beautiful room that doesn’t function?

It won’t last.

Same footprint.
Same four walls.
Completely different experience.
We reworked how the room flows, not just how it looks.
Better layout.
Clearer zones.
Lighting that actually works with the space.
Design isn’t about adding more, it’s about making what you already have work properly.

Everyone focuses on the big pieces.

Sofa. Paint colour. Rug.

But it’s actually the in-between moments that make a space feel finished.

Lighting at different heights.

Texture across surfaces.

Something old next to something new.

That’s what stops a room feeling flat.

If your space feels a bit “meh”, it’s usually not a full redesign you need, it’s better layering.

I spend my whole life making spaces look effortless for other people... turns out being in front of the camera is absolutely not effortless for me 😂

Just had my brand photoshoot with the brilliant and these are your sneaky first look. She was so good at helping me actually relax into it, I genuinely needed it more than I expected!

Big thank you to for being my fake client for the day, you were brilliant 🙏

New services, a refreshed website, and a whole new chapter for Hannah Redden Interiors is coming. I'm so excited to share the full journey with you all.

Are you a fellow interior designer or just someone who also dreads being in front of the camera? Tell me I'm not alone 👇
