Little Robins Crochet

Day 24 and I've certainly become a bit lazy about posting and keeping up with the prompts!!

Today is and well, my answer is both! Plus gifting too.

Originally, I started exploring different types of crochet other than the usual granny squares to make bits for Robin. Then it grew to giving bits I had made to friends, family and soon Tom (my husband) and a few really close friends gave me the much needed encouragement to sell some of my makes.

So I now get to share my passion for crochet and some of the gorgeous patterns with other people too 💕 I've even been lucky enough to get custom orders through my stall, website and make some pretty special pieces.

I will always make for Robin, as long as he let's me. I wonder what next year's world book day costume will be! 🤭📖🐛

My finished tested for Debbie | Cornwall Crochet 🥰

This blanket is so lovely and I cannot wait to use it as the months get colder. I used different shades of Yarnsmiths Create DK to create this colourful blanket, with an off white main colour 🫶

The pattern for the pivot point quilt will be released soon! ❤️

Day 16 for #

In my day job, I childmind and get to look after lots of gorgeous little ones 😍

Last winter, we designed our own beanies and I made them into actual hats for all the children to take home. We even made some for the girls at Isabelle Costanza too!

Some of the colours clash, but each hat is perfect and sums up the little one that designed them perfectly! Looking forward to doing this again 🥰

Day 12 not a mistake, but definitely chaos 😆

A throwback to Robin unravelling my yarn and having the time of his life! Not long after he turned one.
He still tries to help with my crochet, even now almost 3 years later 🧶❤️

Seems like most of these prompts are becoming a bit nostalgic 😅

I love making these hats and they proved super popular on my stall last year ✨️ will need to whip some up ready for upcoming autumnal marketd 🥰

Day 8 and today's prompt is small 💙

I could have picked any small thing I have made, but it reminded me of the first hats I ever did for Robin.

They weren't perfect, didn't fit him very long, but it sums up the prompt well and I get to be a little nostalgic at the same time.

There will be a day (probably sooner than I'd like) that he doesn't want to wear things I make, but for now I will soak up every second he does.
He definitely prefers Nanna Knits over my crochet at the moment 😂

Day 7 of and What is on my hook?

I've got two blankets currently on the go, the by Debbie | Cornwall Crochet and the by Helen - knitwear & crochet designer 🫶✨️

Both of these blankets have such a different look to them, style and I'm using different yarns for both ☺️
For my Pivot Quilt, I am using Yarnsmith Create dk and for the Simply Stars I am using Yarnsmiths Pebble Haze 🥰 both are lovely to work with and the colours are just gorgeous 😍

Day 5 of and I have to say, I love this colour. I used similar shades of this teal across my crochet and it seems to be a popular feature on my page! It's even a main colour in my logo 😂

My spring version of the Acorn Jumper, being released today at 4pm! Shelley .and.hart had a lovely refresh of one of her very first patterns and I got to try it out!

I chose to add a hungry caterpillar applique to my sweater, as it has been a very popular feature on my page recently.

Love this Emu Aran Yarn in asparagus, it's so soft and squishy 🥰
