We’ve wrapped all this into our beautiful collection of luxurious woollen throws and blankets in a wide range of shades, showcasing the very best home-grown design. We are a small family business founded by brother and sister team, Joe and Bethan John. We are proud to bring quality weaving from a small woollen mills in the British Isles to fans of colourful textiles all around the world. Whether you’re looking for a sofa throw for warm nights, a beautiful blanket to add colour to your bedroom or a luxury picnic rug with waterproof backing, The British Blanket Company has a range to suit. How do you choose between our Pure Wool and new British Lambswool collections?

It really comes down to two things: thickness and traceability.

Pure Wool is thick and substantial, the ultimate cuddly throw for maximum warmth on the sofa.

Our new British Lambswool blankets are a but lighter and smoother with the wool traceable directly to the individual UK farms it came from.

Both are woven in historic Yorkshire mills and crafted to last a lifetime.

This collection is woven in Yorkshire using wool that’s fully traceable right back to the UK farms it came from.

We’ve launched this collection in some of my absolute favourite patterns and gentle seasonal shades, and I really hope you love wrapping up in them as much as I do.

We rescue beautiful leftover yarn from the spinning industry and weave it into new blankets.

Because we work with whatever colours are available, no two batches are ever quite the same.
