ACS completed today so we are compliant with Gas Safe Register for another 5 years.

Installation completed for Harry in Thornbury., where we have installed another Stunning Ravel gas stove from our friends st .
We had a couple of set back including a blocked pre cast flue. We had to disconnect the twin wall system in the attic to clear loads of cobwebs and lifting. All now clear and the stove now pulls as it should.

We have renovated the tiled cast by giving it lots of sanding then multiple coats of stove paint. We then replaced a damaged clay fire brick witha ceramic unit for a gas fire along with a free standing Victorian fret from the guys at

Bad day in the office yesterday, driving to a client and boom lots of white smoke when accelerating so AA called who think the Turbos had so towed to AMS in Avonmouth. Apologies to the customer who we were on route to, we will rearrange the visit.

Installation prep work today where we have indtalled a victorian cast suite with a gas fire.
A1 rated enclosure made behind the cast with Vitcas boards, with a vermiculite infill behind the tiles and voids topped of with a cement seal around the sides and top.
Cast is secured to the wall via 120mm screws and cement enclosure.

Supply and fit completed this morning of a 800mm Ravel Balanced flue fire from the guys

Have built a concrete block enclosure for the cassette to sit into the cavity which is now air tight and free on any combustible material. The top of the chamber has lintels to support the brickwork. The void below the cassette has been filled with vermiculite wit a concrete screed over the top to stop any chilling of the flue system.
Balanced Flued appliances are used for homes without chimneys, making gas a viable option if you are looking for great heat and a stunning effect.
