Do you own a sewing machine but feel you’re only using a fraction of what it can do?
Perhaps it’s been sitting in a cupboard for years.
Maybe you've inherited one.
Or perhaps you've started sewing but still feel unsure about settings, stitches, tensions and all those mysterious dials and buttons.
If that sounds familiar, this friendly, fully supported workshop could be exactly what you need.

With expert teacher Janet Williams and her many years of international sewing and overlocker experience, you’ll be guided step-by-step in a relaxed and friendly environment designed to build confidence in using your machine.

By the end of the day, you will:
✨ Understand your machine properly - not just the basics
✨ Know which needles, threads, and settings to use (and why)
✨ Feel confident adjusting tension and troubleshooting issues
✨ Discover tips that make sewing easier and more enjoyable

Perhaps you've made a few cushions, bags, bunting, simple garments or craft projects, but would love your sewing to look neater, more professional and better finished.

Our Stitches & Seams workshop has been designed specifically for improving beginners who want to build confidence and understand the techniques that make sewing easier, more enjoyable and more successful.

During the day you'll learn:
✂️ Different stitch types and when to use them
✂️ Essential seam finishes and construction methods
✂️ How to achieve stronger, neater results
✂️ Professional tips that improve almost every project
✂️ Techniques that help your sewing look more polished and last longer
