Something a little different from us today! 💙

As many of you know, championing small businesses, celebrating local enterprise and supporting our wonderful South Devon community has always been close to our hearts.

So we're incredibly excited to share a project that Adam and I have become involved in, alongside a wonderful team of people!

We're working towards a new future for Old Forde House in Newton Abbot, with a vision to transform this beautiful historic house and its gardens into a thriving destination that puts small businesses, sole traders and independent providers at the heart of the community, bringing people together and creating new opportunities across South Devon. 🌿

What an incredible September it has been! 🤍

Our Double Drop has honestly been more amazing than we could have hoped for. It’s also been our busiest period yet, and there is rather a lot happening behind the scenes that we’re very excited to share with you soon. Just watch this space. 👀

But, for the next couple of weeks, we’re going to be a little quieter on here.

We won’t be posting or able to respond to comments as regularly, as we’ll be spending less time online and turning our attention to some exciting things in the works. Exploring new locations and working on some rather ambitious reel ideas, developing our winter scents, bringing a new accessory to the website… and collaborating on something very special that we’re incredibly excited to be a part of, to be revealed next week.

But Riviera Sands is very much still here. 🌊

Orders will continue to be made, packed and sent as normal, and we’ll still be popping into our DMs and keeping an eye on your messages.

And then we’ll be back properly, ready for the next chapter of the Bay. 🤍

The evenings are drawing in, and the Bay is feeling a little quieter.

The mist rolls in, there’s a first chill in the air, and the familiar places we love begin to take on a completely different mood.

We’ve loved every moment of our first summer with Riviera Sands. But we’re ready for what comes next.

As the seasons turn, autumn takes the wheel. 🍂🌫️

And we’re coming along for the ride. 🤍🌊

And just like that, we say goodbye to our very first summer as Riviera Sands, with our hearts full of gratitude for all your support 🌊

And what a summer it’s been.

From launching our Discover the Bay collection, to adding three new scents inspired by some of our favourite corners of the English Riviera.

We’ve always had a clear vision for what we wanted Riviera Sands to be. Not simply home fragrance, but a way of capturing the places, moments and feeling of life here by the Bay. What we didn’t expect was the community that would grow around it, or the wonderful friendships we’d make along the way.

So, as the summer crowds disappear and the days begin to draw in, we’re welcoming autumn the way we intend to go on. Pulling up our deckchairs on Brixham Breakwater Beach, putting the kettle on, and looking out across the Bay towards all the new season might bring.

Only this year, we have a little more to look back on, and an awful lot to be grateful for. ☕️🌊

And now, we’re ready for what comes next.

New places to capture. New stories to tell.

Bright, sun-soaked and irresistibly nostalgic, with coconut, bergamot, amber, jasmine and creamy vanilla.

🌾 Broadsands

Soft, warm and comforting, blending neroli, coconut, rosewood, white florals, light musk and dark oak.

One last taste of summer. The first hint of autumn. Both are available to shop now 🤍🐚

And here they are… Goodrington Sands and Broadsands 🌊🐚

Two neighbouring beaches, captured in two completely different moods.

☀️ Goodrington Sands — one last taste of summer, with coconut, bergamot and vanilla.

🤍 Broadsands — the first hint of the slower season, with rosewood, white florals and light musk.

Each box has been designed around its location, featuring an aerial view across the beach that inspired the fragrance. We’ve loved watching these two become part of the Riviera Sands collection.

The first hint of a slower season 🍂🐚

There’s a moment in the Bay when summer hasn’t quite disappeared, but you can feel the season beginning to turn.

Broadsands captures that feeling.

Warm rosewood. Delicate white florals. Light musk. A creamy warmth running through it all.

A scent inspired by quiet walks along the shore, grasses moving in the breeze and those first softer days that tell us autumn is on its way.

The days are still warm and the sea still glistens, but there’s something about this time of year that feels a little slower.

Broadsands is the second half of our very first Double Drop, inspired by one of the Bay’s most beautiful beaches as summer begins to soften into autumn.
