The Copperfox, Harborne 🔥

Phase 1 of a transformation in stages.

Most hospitality improvements happen in the real world - you’re trading, you’re busy, you’re trying to make smart changes without losing momentum (or cashflow!).

That’s why phased design works. As long as the brand is clear first.

For The Copperfox Indian Grill, we started by defining the “seed” of the brand - the thing that makes every future decision easier and stops expensive detours.

The phrase we built around?
✦ Burnished intimacy ✦

Not raw. Not showy. Refined.

A space that pulls you in… and holds you there.

Phase 1 is the new extension area - now complete. It’s the first chapter of a wider scheme that will roll through the whole building in stages, with the same design language running throughout.

Here’s the bit I wish more owners knew: getting the seed of the brand right matters more than how fast you implement it.

Once it’s right, future decisions get easier, spend stays focused and you avoid expensive ‘almost right’ choices.

If you’re planning an extension or refurb - don’t buy finishes before you’ve defined the brand. That’s where budgets leak.

Just completed this exciting transformation in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter! Stepped in to give The Barrel Store a more urban, contemporary edge with some key circulation and design adjustments.

The real magic? Watching how ’s local craft brews perfectly complement ’s customisable offerings! This partnership creates the ultimate destination experience - great beer meets amazing pizza where customers “have it their way.” 🍕🍺

What I’ve learned:
* Strategic collaborations elevate BOTH brands
* Venue owners: the right food/drink partner can revolutionise your space
* * Emerging brands: established locations give you instant credibility

This project proves that sometimes the perfect business evolution comes through partnership, not competition. The result? A buzzing destination that’s already turning heads across Birmingham.

Unveiling a few more pics from The Crown - Bodedern.

A sneak peek into our latest project on the shores of Anglesey... ✨

As March draws to a close, we’re putting the finishing touches on the ambitious pub rebuild. These teaser images capture The Crown and its canvas awaiting our final brushstrokes of furniture and light setting.

The natural light dancing across these spaces hints at the transformation to come. We’ve designed each room to embrace Anglesey’s coastal essence with an Indian influence - all whilst maintaining a timeless elegance that will evolve with its owners.

✨ While Pubs Are Closing, Anglesey is Raising the Bar! 🍻

I’m thrilled to share the first glimpses of an extraordinary transformation taking place in beautiful Anglesey, Wales. After over three years of careful planning, rebuilding, extending, and meticulous fitout work, The Crown is beginning to reveal its new identity.

📸 These detail shots offer just a taste of what’s to come. The anticipation from the surrounding communities has been incredible, and for good reason - investments of this scale in British pub culture are increasingly rare, making this project particularly special for North Wales.

🚧 While we’re still in progress - with bespoke furniture, fixed seating, artwork, signage, and planting yet to be installed - these photos showcase the quality and attention to detail that will define the magic of the finished space.

This endeavor has truly been a labour of love, blending modern elegance with the timeless warmth and character that Welsh pubs bring to their communities. Our transformation story isn’t complete yet - stay tuned for exciting updates as we make our way towards the final reveal.

🍻 New Project Update: Evolving a Brewery Space! 🍻

Here’s the latest from my world of interior design - our company is diving into an exciting new project: revamping the bar for a fabulous local brewery!

Over the years, we’ve been privileged to team up with some amazing breweries who have taken the bold step into on-trade. It’s not just about business - it’s a hugely personal journey that lets these passionate brewers share more than just their fantastic beers. They invite you into their world…. and I get to help make that happen! 😊

🎯 In this latest project, we’re tasked with evolving the already cherished beer store vibe. Our goal is to amplify the distinct character the brewery holds dear by employing a striking yet minimal design style that showcases the raw beauty of both the venue and the brewing process. Imagine industrial meets organic, with vibrant brand touches creating a space that’s as welcoming as it is unique.

This time around, our mission is to design a space that doesn’t merely house their creations but truly reflects the heart-on-sleeve ethos of the venue owners. We want customers to step inside and feel as if they are part of the brewing journey themselves.

Helping breweries make this sort of leap has been such a rewarding part of my career. I utilise all my know-how to ensure every new space is authentic, unique and truly represents the brand the brews they’re crafted to showcase.

🎨 Want to know the secret to spaces that feel effortlessly put together? It’s all in the colour story!

I’m going to share the effective tip in creating a cohesive home scheme. Imagine your home as a beautiful symphony – each room playing its own unique part while harmonising perfectly with the whole.

By weaving a select palette of 6 colours throughout your space, you create that sought-after designer flow that makes even the boldest choices feel intentional. In this case study we worked with the client to develop colours which resonated with her and her family of muted salmons - from neutral to bold.

To create a bit of drama - try carrying your signature colour from a statement ceiling in the dining room down to the sofa in the living space. Or echo a colour from your palette onto your kitchen cabinets, in artwork, throws or even tile work throughout your home. The key is balance – when you go bold up high, ground it with subtle nods below.

It’s not about matching everything (hello, boring! 👋), it’s about creating thoughtful connections that make your space feel curated, not chaotic. The secret? It’s all in the flow. Every great designer knows this secret – and now you do too!
